melissad2
When I was a kid I remember having tons of fun with some small plastic farm animals and some fences to build. I think my kids would like it too but I can't find what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
Miss Marple
Our local farm and ranch store has a huge selection of anatomically correct farm animals. When my oldest turned 18 he wanted to buy some stock (stock market). So I made him a cake and put all sorts of "farm stock" on the cake :) If you have an Atwoods nearby, you can find them there as well. TheTwinsMom1
http://www.schleich-s.com/ These are our favorite hard plastic toy animals. They have just about any animal, knight, fairy, or person you could want.
KristenR
I love the Safari Ltd brand figures. I used to buy whatever cheap ones I could find because I didn't want to spend the money for the more expensive toys. But Safari (also Papo) are just really great products. My girls normally get one on special occasions. They always get at least one on major holidays. Now, we have three big buckets of these figures. Animals, dinosaurs, and fantasy creatures. They play hard with them but they last and are durable.

curlylocks
Please be careful when buying toys at dollar-type stores. Many of those items come from China and contain unsafe paints and materials.
