I had those kind with my oldest daughter, HG w/o any diagnosed learning or behavioral issues, but only now at 17yo is my son beginning to even express any future-oriented thinking. How amazing our children are, even when they can't get it out quite as eloquently or comprehensively as your ds. You just never really know what is going on inside their heads. Thank you for the reminder. :) I loved the whole story so much, but I think my favorite part is in your follow-up post, where you said he started taking notes for you.
