table4five
I am trying to find a way to keep a visual booklist. Somewhere to record the booklist I want each child to read with a checklist kind of thing. If you KWIM? Does this exist? Thanks :)
MorganClassicalPrep
It's not online, but I keep a running list on my phone with the Evernote app. I just take a picture of the cover of the book when we're done reading and it saves them all in one "notebook." Since I have evernote on my phone and on my computer, the lists sync both ways and I can bring up a list of the books we've read with one click. Annie Laurie
I keep a book list for each kid on Pinterest, just so I remember, it helps that it's visual. But there's no checklist and I don't know how easy it would be for the kids to use themselves.
FriedClams
I tried once. I could not possibly keep up wth them, and I only have two. They are voracious readers, though.
acurtis75
I use the reminder app in my iPad. You can make categorized checklists. I'm sure any task management software would work. There's an android app that links with google I think. I had it on my phone but deleted it after I got the iPad. I also like the Evernote idea. shukriyya
This might be what you're looking for. It builds a virtual library of books that your dc have read and there are options for your children to add to it on their own. You can use it strictly as an online record or you can use it as an incentive program for reading with the use of rewards in the form of coupons to 'cash' in for things like an ice cream cone, an afternoon out with mom etc. It's free too. Samiam
I do that in our Homeschool Tracker+ software, but prior to that, I just kept an Excel spreadsheet. My DS13, who is the only the only who reads on his own at this point, knows to put any completed books on my desk, so I can log them. ladydusk
I try and keep track on goodreads.com ... I made my two readers sign-ons (using my email address slightly modified) and we try to keep track. I think I'm a bit behind, though ... LolaT
I use shelfari.com. I'm hoping DD will be able to enter her own books soon. she's already started doing this.
MeaganS
I use Shelfari for a list of all the read alouds we've done. It works well enough, and it shows the covers of the books, which I like.
Myeightkiddies
I use Homeschool Tracker Plus. It's still challenging because they read so much. When my daughter goes to turn in library books, I try to catch her at the door to determine if I got everything written down on my list.
