arliemaria
He is bringing a quiche for us to have for dinner one night. What should I serve with it? I was thinking a nice salad, but what else?
Jean in Newcastle
Green salad, fruit salad, a fruit tart for dessert would be nice. . .
AK_Mom4
Egg Pie (since my guys won't eat something called "quiche") is wonderful with biscuits and a salad.
AHASRADA
A hearty soup and thick, crusty bread and butter. Adding a salad isn't a bad idea either. BTW, quiche is not a meal for my family, it's an appetizer or hors d'oeuvre. Hence, the suggestion for multiple accompaniments. :D Honestly, I would view the quiche as an accompaniment to whatever you are planning to serve, but that's just me (if it were lunch, maybe adding just a salad and bread would be OK.) eternalknot
What about some steamed or grilled asparagus? Maybe radishes? With easy preparation and seasoning, they mimic potatoes. We like them sliced thin, but you could also grate/shred or cube them. Season, cook in broth or seasoned water, then pan-fry like you would potatoes. gardenmom5
my kids would go for croissants.
Mama Anna
Dh inevitably goes for rice to accompany any egg-based main dish. I'm not sure why. Just a thought! HTH! Mama Anna
Chocolate Rose
We usually have salad, bread and fruit with quiche. Sometimes we have hash browns.

DaffodilDreams
I second the soup idea. That's my favorite combo. I wouldn't be upset if someone put a croissant on my plate, either.
Laurie4b
I think quiche with salad needs only rolls or crusty bread of some kind to make a complete meal.
Chris in VA
I say salad, plus a nice dessert. I don't serve bread with it unless it's crustless. Of course, that's not to say I would turn down bread at any time...:001_smile:
silliness7
We call it egg pie too. I usually serve fried potatoes and chilled pineapple with it.
