Dmmetler
We're planning a trip to Williamsburg and wanted to include a couple of nights at Great Wolf Lodge to enjoy the waterpark, and I saw Magiquest, which looks like something my fantasy-loving DD would be thrilled with. I'm not adverse to buying the wand and paying for a game for her, but would an adult have to get one as well to go through it with her? I'm uncomfortable turning a fairly young child (she will have just turned 7-the trip would be over her birthday) loose in a strange place, but it's expensive enough that I'd prefer not to pay the money for an adult if we don't have to! Lady Marmalade
I don't know if they are all the same, but I know my brother and his wife take their family to Magiquest every once in a while, and only the girls have the wands. I don't know if they all have to pay to get in though...
pink&bluemommy
You don't have to have a wand to accompany the child and we made our kids share one wand anyways when we went.
speedmom4
My boys loved Magi Quest. They had so much fun running through the halls of the hotel and figuring out all the challenges. I went with them. It does not cost anything for a parent to accompany children. I got a great workout that day! Have fun! krisperry
It IS a workout. You do not have to have a wand. The kids have a blast.
Jennifer3141
We love Magiquest and no, you don't need a wand as an adult. You may WANT one though. :D DD loved it two years ago even though she didn't really "get" all of it. But the turned the system off at 11:00 that night and that was the only thing that would get her to go to bed!!!
Jennifer3141
Oh, and our GWL does a fabulous Halloween - check your schedule and try to go during that. :001_smile:
Spryte
We did this last week, and had a blast! You will have a wonderful time just following along with your kiddo. No need for adults to have wands, like everyone else said. I think my kiddo liked this better than the waterpark! He loved both, but MagiQuest was the big hit. Have fun! gardenmom5
We're planning a couple of nights at Great Wolf Lodge to enjoy the waterpark, and I saw Magiquest, would an adult have to get one as well to go through it with her? ! It's actually played in the hallways, the lobby, the (very well lit and spacious) stairwells, the elevator lobbies, etc. you get a workout! (it's faster using the stairs than waiting for the elevator). You only need one wand. You don't even have to be a registered guest at GWL to play it! (the swimming area is the only place they check to make sure you have a bracelet.) Oh, and our GWL does a fabulous Halloween - check your schedule and try to go during that. :001_smile: they also do an awsome "winter" in december. PeacefulChaos
It's kind of all over the place, so you can go with them - that's what I see all the other parents doing - but you don't have to pay to do it, just walk with them. Running the race
Only the child needs to have the wand. All three of my kids LOVED and RAVED about Magiquest. Definitely do it!
