Dobela
In today's paper the 2 names were listed as the first and middle names of new babies: Regional Lemon Sir Shooter :001_huh: Now, I am all for unique and individual names, but those two, well, I don't like them. SunD
Uh ... perhaps Regional was supposed to be Reginald? Maybe the newspaper's spelling was auto-corrected. Or maybe the parents can't spell. I'll hope for the former.
Dobela
I thought of Reginald as well, but Lemon as the middle name??? LOL
twoforjoy
I had a student named, no joke, Diamond Tiara. I do not know what some parents are thinking.
SunD
Maybe Lemon is his mother's maiden name. I can hope, right? Yes, that's it. He's really Reginald, and Lemon is his dear mother's unfortunate family name. (I did once see a sign for Lemon & Lemon Auto Insurance ... no thanks! But it does exist as a surname.) I can't really explain Sir Shooter. Sir is along the lines of title names, like Bishop, King, Prince, etc. Shooter follows logically from Hunter, Archer, and so on. But the particular choices and combination are, uh, unfortunate.

myfunnybunch
Sir Shooter I'd have named him Sharpe. His twin would be Strait.
RegularMom
I'd have named him Sharpe. His twin would be Strait. We once met a young man named Lord Bishop. I guess Bishop was his last name. RegularDad said to him, "You're name is Lord???" And he replied, "Yeah... you know... like the Lord God?" No ego problem THERE. :tongue_smilie::lol:
catz
Yikes - hoping they're British and it was meant to be Reginald Lyman!?

Chris in VA
My son's name is Regional. I think it's lovely. JK--That ALWAYS happens to me on threads where I say someone's name is dumb, so I've learned not to say it.

Haiku
I wonder how long it's going to be before someone busts out that their mom's cousin's sister's husband's stepbrother's nephew's wife taught Lemonjello and Oranjello at school? That said, my aunt's name is Sandy Butt. My mom's maiden name was, unfortunately, Butt, and poor Sandy married my uncle. Tara
