unsinkable
Assuming you would give them a bite, which bite would you give them: the first bite or the last bite?
justamouse
who is it? It all depends on the biter. Dh could have the first bite but he wouldn't ask. Though we share all food. He's the same with me, but I wouldn't ask. I'd give him the second, and he'd give me the second. *g* Kids, no way. Anyone else, no way. Thorough answer. :D But the idea is that I am assuming you'd give the asker a bite. I want to know which bite people would be more likely to give. tntgoodwin
It depends. I see no significance as to which bite I would offer.
LidiyaDawn
JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD! :w00t:
Desert Rat
The first bite. That way I can have the rest to myself. Assuming they only get the one bite.
Impish
If it were Wolf, he could have first bite. Kids, I'd save them some. Kids tend to have goober issues. And keep coming back like locusts, eyeing my food if they get a bite. They get told I'll save them some IF they don't hover over me, drooling and smacking their lips :glare:
Crimson Wife
I'd ask them to pass over their plate, and then use a clean utensil to cut the first bite. DH I'd give a later bite because we do enough germ-swapping during "tea time" ;)
UnsinkableKristen
The second or subsequent bite. I enjoy the first and last bite equally, and if I loved someone enough to share any part of the food, then they would understand. :D

myfatherslily
I have no problem sharing the first bite, but I have a really hard time giving away the last bite, or sip, or something I love:)
snickelfritz
Whatever point they ask for a bite, I'd give it. Though, on reflection, if the bite is headed towards my mouth when they ask (common occurrence with my kids), I think I normally finish the bite. Farrar
An early bite. I want the first taste. And once it's half gone, I am counting it down, so it needs to come before that.
Ginevra
Any bite. But I can't think of a time when I've been asked before I even tasted it myself. The more common scenario is this: "Oh, honey! This Coq a Vin is out of this world! Here, have a taste!" The last bite just seems odd. Am I going to make you sit there drooling over my dinner for a half an hour until there's one bite left? That's just weird.
