Mommee & Baba
Wow I didn't know this or even realize it. Today I went to checkout with several books to only find out I couldn't find an option that said paypal. :glare: Now I must transfer balance and wait another week to purchase books that I wanted on my school shelves a month ago. :glare: Thanks for listening to my small rant. Jennifer3141
Amazon has its own credit cards. It never even occurred to me that Amazon would take Paypal. :grouphug: on the waiting though!
Mommee & Baba
I have stayed FAR away from the Amazon CC otherwise I'd be in some serious debt. I have a thing for books! :tongue_smilie:
LizzyBee
Amazon takes electronic checks. I have a small checking account that is tied to my pp account. I sometimes use that account for writing e-checks to Amazon rather than using a credit card.
Aubrey
I was annoyed when I realized this, too. Everybody else takes pp. :glare:
Pippen
ebay owns Paypal. amazon and ebay are competitors so it makes sense that amazon doesn't offer Paypal.
nmoira
ebay owns Paypal. amazon and ebay are competitors so it makes sense that amazon doesn't offer Paypal. For large retailers, PayPal fees are greater than those of the major credit cards. Amazon has no incentive to use PayPal, as I'm sure it has the best deal possible with the various credit card companies.
zillymom
I got a PayPal debit card so that I could use my PayPal balance anywhere. It runs through VISA (or maybe Mastercard, one of the two).
Swirl
I got a PayPal debit card so that I could use my PayPal balance anywhere. It runs through VISA (or maybe Mastercard, one of the two). Me too. It also pays cash back into your Paypal account.
Koerarmoca
I use my paypal master card. But I do hate not having a paypal option its so much easier to click paypal then it is to get my wallet out and dig out my CC.
twoxcell
Sorry you have to wait for your books. It never occurred to me that Amazon would take Paypal. In my mind it would be like trying to use paypal at Walmart. Amazon is such a big company and all.;)

kalanamak
Oh, I could recite the number, expiration date and security code. . . :D Yup, and it is an Amazon cc so I get points back to Amazon. Since I never carry a balance, they lose on me.:D

Since I never carry a balance, they lose on me.:D And I LOVE that they changed the points system and now those little suckers are right there for you when you check out!!! I've capped mine at $500 and then I pay it off if I need more throughout the month but I cannot believe how fast those points add up when you try to do a lot of buying on amazon. Mommee & Baba
I guess it does make sense that they don't accept it. I just am use to most places online accepting pp so I was a bit annoyed :glare: that Amazon didn't accept it. Oh well! Money transferring to bank. Then I'll order. Lesson learned :p
nono
Yup, and it is an Amazon cc so I get points back to Amazon. Since I never carry a balance, they lose on me.:D Yeah, but they love us anyways! I just bought a boatload of wishlist things with my points, since they were right there for the taking at checkout. I did feel a little like I was stealing something though. ;) As a VISA supervisor explained to me once though, plowing through a large number of purchases and paying them off each month is making their cash flow just fine....(I forget their take, maybe 2-3%?)
