1bassoon Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 It is so hard waking up this morning. I just got word - in an area east of here, several families are - destroyed. Their homes, vehicles, everything. One of our friends - a dear, wonderful homeschooling family who have 13 children - their house collapsed on top of them. The father, Tom, has died - while protecting his family. My friends were on their way to help them, and saw an entire family lying in their front yard. Gone. I'm feeling tremendous survivor's guilt that we never even lost power, not even a large tree branch down. Please pray for these families - they have lost EVERYTHING. Jennifer in MI Posted April 28, 2011 Share Posted April 28, 2011 It's horrific. I just got off the phone with my BIL (N. GA) They're getting updates about people they know who have died. Their subdivision was actually listed in a national report as one that sustained massive damage. Thank God they're okay - but there are SO many who aren't. This is just horrible.
