Mynyel
Ok Need a recommendation here... I have plain ole regular Crayolas but my ds(almost)3 breaks them. Not on purpose but they seem more flimsy than in years gone by. Can you recommend a good solid crayon that will withstand a very active (and non to gentle) 3yo? TY! :)
PeterPan
Crayola makes a kind that twist. They're in plastic and shaped like a pencil.
Cinder
Have you tried the large crayons? If that didn't work out for you I'd go with the twistables, too.
arliemaria
I love the stockmar beeswax block crayons. We have a tin full of blocks and stick crayons. Awesome.
*anj*
Another vote for Stockmar. We also have Lyra beeswax crayons. Both brands are sturdy, and the colors are more vibrant than the other kinds are. We've thrown away countless Crayolas (and even more of the super cheap brands), but our beeswax crayons have stood the test of time.
Mert
You could make chunky crayons by melting your broken ones in a muffin tin. I actually bought packs of 24 just for this purpose. It makes a nice sized crayon good for regular coloring and rubbings plus they're great to stack. ~HTH
*Inna*
We love Crayon Rocks. They are very sturdy and easy to hold.

KristinaBreece
We like these: http://www.amazon.com/Alex-Finger-Crayons-30-Pieces/dp/B000BR67JA
Desert Rat
We love the plastic twisty ones. They've lasted for 2 years now and my ds loves them. He used to hate the feel of the paper and peeled all of it off. I was sick of naked crayons. :)
