kchara
Flogging Molly and the Tossers top my list, but can't listen to those with the kids around. ;) Saving those for my date tonight with hubby, Coke, and my buddy Jamison. (Today's our anniversary, so we're splurging on the Jamison.. LOL):D With the kids around, we listen to a lot of generic instrumentals, a couple of cheap CDs I got... somewhere... and Celtic Women and Celtic Thunder. OrganicAnn
When I was a kid and lived in Ireland, our favorite song on the radio was O'Rafferty Motor Car. I believe this is the actual version we used to listen to (minus the pictures).

Sasharowan
Celtic Thunder is a big favorite here. They are playing on PBS for pledge week now. Gaelic Storm and Irish Rovers are a couple more we all like.
pqr
The Patriot Game :) A good one, no doubt, but if one is to reference IRA songs then this is must be listed “Rifles of the IRA†and this is my favorite. "Come out ye Black and Tans" Of course one must give a nod to songs from the other side. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcFsU_k6wZ0 "Battle of the Somme - Eve" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPq6zmftSiM “Dying Soldier†“Bloody Road to the Somme†“Apprentice Boys of Derry†there is also this… It may not be “Irish†but it does refer to events in the North and should be part of any body of work on the conflict in the North. “The British Soldier†Finally the song of Kelly’s Irish Brigade (Confederate) I do love the passion and emotion found in Irish music, whatever the political persuasion of the singer and listen to both rebel and loyalist songs regardless of any personal views that I may have.
