Annabel Lee
I know I want to use a parts-to-whole approach to Latin, but there aren't many choices listed in TWTM for this. Please help me form a list covering parts-to-whole Latin programs for K-8th. I'll start: 1. Prima Latina, Latina Christiana and other Memoria Press materials 2. The Big Book of Lively Latin

wapiti
A couple more: GSWL Nutting's Latin Primer (not the same as the other "Latin Primer") http://books.google.com/books?id=4YoXAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=nutting+latin+primer&source=bl&ots=SVW7S9tv7p&sig=cOMFw5v1isPnszKqT9d_S4wjuPc&hl=en&ei=YKy8TIOpLIelnQfe9KmqDQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CB0Q6AEwAw#v=onepage&q&f=false (for those who like vintage books) and Nutting's First Latin Reader http://books.google.com/books?id=WAtLAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=nutting+latin+reader&hl=en&ei=lmgBTeqnGcSp8AbZybjsAg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CCMQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false . See the prefaces of these books for more info. ETA: as we get a little further along, I don't think Nutting is going to work out for us. I need an answer key, and I need more fleshed out explanations of tense, mood, etc. ETA: I think I've wound myself back around to Henle with the MODC syllabus *sigh* Edited December 12, 2010 by wapiti

Medieval Mom
I didn't see anyone mention the new 2009 version of Latin Primer by Martha Wilson. I just got my copy to review for our use next year in third grade. It looks WONDERFUL! :) RR, CBD, and Canon Press sell it.
