wy_kid_wrangler04
VPike You can put in either an address from around the world, or a city and country and you can see it! My kids LOVE this as they are learning about parts of the world! My 2nd grader just learned about Lombard St in SanFranciso, (the steepest, most curvy street in the world) and got to actually see it! Very fun!

michelle l
Kind of cool, but does anyone else find it sort of scarey that you can see close-ups off people's homes?
Maddysmom26
Thats amazing.. sort of like google earth. But this is actually closer shots. Definately a little scarey.. even though the pics appear to be a few years old.

Ya that was kinda freaky, but we really enjoy it! (Not the peoples houses though:D) My kids really enjoyed looking at China (that small part you can see) and Japan! They think this is awesome! 8filltheheart
Completely different type of source, but a very interesting one for geography studies. http://www.ncge.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3309

Kathleen in VA
yes, completely creepy. i don't really see it so much as a geography tool as much as a spy cam. eeewww. I didn't find it creepy at all. I guess it's like a lot of things - it depends on the motive of the user. Anything has the potential to be creepy. I think it's a great geography tool. Leola
That's Google's street view map - you can access that right on Google maps. It's a very neat thing to do - it's not always accurate though.

(We are finishing up SOTW1 just ending the Julius Caesar section so now she can atleast see modern Rome!!)
2cents
This is just so much fun! The girls traveled to Mexico City today! We did some Cinco de Mayo studies and being able to virtually walk around Mexico was awesome!
