  1. I completely understand not being able to take them to the vet! No flames from me at all. But I wanted to tell you that in our area if you take them home and start feeding they are considered legally yours. And if you don't seek vet treatment for them you can be charged with neglect, animal cruelty and a host of other things. This may not be the case where you are. So feel free to ignore me. But I know this first hand - having watched a sweet old lady trying to take care of stray cats. The charges were dropped but only after a trial and a huge mess. She was charged with neglecting to seek vet treatment, animal cruelty, and honestly I can't remember what else. Some of these charges carry jail time. The charges were dismissed in court and the cats were picked up by animal control. Once you start caring for them they might be considered yours. It stinks that you can't turn them in either. I have no idea what the solution is. Dh and I have taken in more strays than we can count. Some we have kept and some we haven't. But after going through this court ordeal and watching this 80 year old well meaning lady face this, I will not bring home another stray that we don't intend to keep. We can't afford to treat every stray we find either. It's great that you are taking care of them though - poor kitties!
  2. It varies so much depending on where you live. I know that things are different my many places if you are family. I would talk to a SW or someone local about policies and such where you live or where the teen lives. It's not easy for teens in foster care.
  3. Car warranties are the only ones we buy. There are some very shady companies out there, but dealership warranties are usually fine. You just need to find out what it covers and what it doesn't. You also need to find out what you have to do. It should be the same as the one you currently have (as far as getting work covered.) Ask them to give you more information.
  4. Same here. Mine is almost 7 years old. And I clean it all the time between hair for me and my girls and threads from sewing. I can tell when vacuuming it's time to clean it. I have burned up other vacuums. I love Dyson!
  5. My mom wasn't even 45 when I got married. She had an empty next by 50. My sister will have one at 46. I will 60!
  6. With my first, I was throwing up 2 days past conception. There was no mistaking the date. I knew when I Oed and well..., and u/s confirmed later I was where I should be date wise.
  7. That's such a good law! See this makes so much sense. Our state is so lame! It's 8 regardless of height and weight! The frustration for me is I have 2 kids that are 4'9" + ish. One is 10 and one is 6!!! My 6 year old is actually taller than my 10 year old. But he is required to be in a seat. I have trying to figure out what to do with him because he's really too tall for car seats. But I have been told that I could be in trouble for it - it carries a child endangerment charge here. UGH! Height makes so much sense. I wish our state with adopt that.
  8. Love the Ergo! I got it with the backpack diaper bag. I loved it.
  9. Thank you! Thank you! This one is very awkward. This is what ds came up with, but it sounds so strange. I guess we will just go with it.
  10. This is the sentence given, and I am not sure.... The men often have a speech.
  11. LOL! I wasn't sure if that was his mistake or yours. That is hilarious!
  12. I agree take out the comma. But I have to ask did he really write sister-in-laws? Or did he write sisters-in-law? Cause if he's nit picking the comma (really does it matter how many he has?) and says sister-in-laws... :tongue_smilie: Seriously, that would drive me crazy working with him.... LOL! Just wondering....
