happyWImom
I just found out about these. What's the scoop?
Audrey
Fun, kind of campy, but like many series that go on for years, the later books kind of lose their spark.
Paula in MS
I read the first one, since they were recommended by so many on this board. It was just okay. I'm not sure about the rest. Paula
jenL
I made it through the first two, and then I couldn't get any further. Although it's nice to read something mindless every now and then, they were too mindless for me.

Cynful
I'm on book 3 (after my Twilight obsession :blushing: ) and they've been ok. Not the best read, not the worst. When I'm tired of thinking through Pride and Prejudice, this fits the bill. :) They are most definitely adult, just so you know.
sarawatsonim
I really enjoyed them. They were quirky, humorous and a nice easy read.
RoughCollie
I like them. I've read them all and I look forward to the next one that comes out. This is a long series for Charlaine Harris, and unless the $$, her agent, and her publisher convince her otherwise, don't be surprised if she stops writing these. That's what happened with her other series (cozy mysteries, mainly), and they stopped before I was ready for them to. She's already started another series: the Harper Connelly Mysteries. These books are really good, too. http://www.amazon.com/Grave-Sight-Harper-Connelly-Mysteries/dp/0425212890/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263852385&sr=8-1 Edited January 18, 2010 by RoughCollie
Margaret in GA
I really like them. But... as others here have said, it isn't great literature. Very similar to Twilight as far as writing goes. I keep watching True Blood (HBO series based on the books), but it's rather disappointing. Maybe season 3 will be better! Margaret
Heather in Neverland
Fun, kind of campy, but like many series that go on for years, the later books kind of lose their spark. Exactly. I read books 1-8. The first few were decent but nowhere near as good as Twilight. The last few books were zzzzzz.......
Night Elf
I loved the Aurora Teagarden mysteries by Charlaine Harris. I liked these almost as much as the Aunt Dimity series by author Nancy Atherton. I am not interested in vampires so I haven't tried the Sookie books. Then again, I like light mindless books. I have enough stress and drama in my life and books are my escape. :tongue_smilie:
Desert Rat
Just finished the first 9 and loved them. They are complete fluff but fun and quick. Looking forward to #10 in May.
