MIch elle
I need to add to our Christmas CD collection. Do you have any recommendations? I like musical variety. One our favorites is It's Christmas Time, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole CD
Jean in Newcastle
Oooo. I love Christmas music! The Von Trapp Children (actually the grand-children of the "original" Von Trapps: http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Trapp-Children-Jose-Feliciano/dp/B0000AYLKK Andy Williams: http://www.amazon.com/Andy-Williams-Christmas-Album/dp/B0000024RX Andy Griffith: (this one has some wonderful stories as well as the songs) http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=christmas+guest+andy+griffith&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=4671363117&ref=pd_sl_6ofsxelff6_b A different flavor from the other ones I've listed - Mannheim Steamroller: http://shop.mannheimsteamroller.com/ The Andrews Sisters (and there is one with Bing Crosby too): http://www.amazon.com/The-Andrews-Sisters-Christmas/dp/B000008CVY Wonderful flute music by some homeschoolers! http://www.christmasreviews.com/wcll.shtml Then I have weird ones I pick up all over the place - I have one of Christmas music played on Andean panpipes, one of Christmas music played on Native American flutes. . . (I can't find those on the web though. . .)

Natalieclare
I've really liked the Christmas cd's I've gotten from Starbucks. This year's is called Making Merry. But I was just thinking about buying some more cds! While I like my peppy, jolly cd's, I'd also like to broaden our collection to include some chamber choir type cd's. Can anyone recommend some? (If the op doesn't mind me hijacking a bit...)
Pippen
I absolutely love Christmas Saxophone. http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Saxophone-Instrumental-Various-Artists/dp/B0002WZSXK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1261413897&sr=8-
i.love.lucy
Martina McBride's White Christmas is a wonderful one. No one can sing "O Holy Night" like her! Of course Charlie Brown. Christmas with the Rat Pack and Elvis. And we have lots of other compliations that we love too.
BikeBookBread
Faves: Carols for Christmas - we picked this one up at Magdalen College, Oxford. Sung by the MC boys' choir. A CD that I bought at Starbucks about 10 years ago called A Merry Affair. Very swingin'. All of "The Boys" are on it: Frank, Bing, Nat. Christmas by Michael W. Smith - the old one from the late 80's. The Messiah sung by the conducted by Robert Shaw with the Robert Shaw Singers...recorded in the late 60's. Soundtrack from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Amy loves Bud
Jack Johnson's Brushfire Christmas Cd is a good one. Jack only sings a couple of songs on it, but they are all really good!
LynnG in Arizona
Have you tried the new Christmas CD by Andrea Boccelli? It is excellent . . . a nice mix of serious and playful, sacred and secular. It also features several interesting duets. HTH. :)

KAR120C
Last year I bought the Straight No Chaser Christmas "Holiday Spirits" album off iTunes and it's my current favorite. They're the acapella men's choir from Indiana University who will always be best known for their hysterical . :D But the rest of the album is beautiful. Apparently there's a new one.... I might need to check it out... Edited December 22, 2009 by KAR120C

I'm a little confused about using Pandora (on Android, which I assume is the same as iPhone): How can I get it get play just a Christmas genre? TIA!
