momofkhm
where do you go? The heat is out. It's 62 right now. I think I may need to take the kids out of the house to get any work done. I can send them up on their beds, and that would work for the girls, but not ds! I think he would go up and play play play!
TN Mama
Might the library be an option? I'm sorry about the heat. We experienced that last year - brrr! Hope it's taken care of asap!
Snickerdoodle
Well first of all, it's 6:30 am. :tongue_smilie: Stay in bed another hour.

MIch elle
Call your pastor and ask if you can use your church.
Amy loves Bud
The library works well for us. Our town also has a nice little community center that we have used in the past. The ping pong table is a nice carrot to dangle infront of them!
adams101
I would say church or library. Or, you could get a small space heater and put in the room so you could do school. I know it isn't the best option for all the time, but temporarily it should be fine. And you're at home with all your stuff.
OhM
Tim Horton's! And a warning - if you go to Panera, be careful that you don't sit in someone else's seat. ETA: Yes, I know you can't spend all day there - but you could get a subject or two done while you have a donut! :)

(What's Tim Horton's - never heard of it.)
HollyDay
I've done the library. Does you dh have a space at work that is not used often, like a conference room?
Colleen in NS
Tim Horton's! Wait - Tim's is in *Ohio* now?????
*********
Wait - Tim's is in *Ohio* now????? I know we have them all over here in the metro Detroit area. Is it a Canadian crime if I admit I've never actually been to one, though? :D Might the library be an option? I was going to suggest this, too. This is probably where we'd go if our heat went out. Does you dh have a space at work that is not used often, like a conference room? What a creative suggestion! I guess it would depend on your dh's workplace, though. What about your parents or in-laws, if they work? That way, it'd be quiet, and grandma and grandpa wouldn't be around to distract. Or other family members who are also at work; sibling, sibling of your dh? That's all I can think of.
Scuff
Yeah, it used to be a big deal to stock up on donuts when going to Canada. Now we have them down the street!
jg_puppy
I have been telling the kids that one day soon we will go to Starbucks to do some of our school work. There is one inside a Target that seems to always be empty. I would go there for awhile. Then after we got bored there we would hed to the library. mom2hunangirls
We usually go find an empty room at the church just for a change of scenery.
