  1. :lurk5: I'm wondering about it too for 6th and 8th grades.
  2. One year my cousin and I were getting a doll. My cousin knew we were getting it, so they put a huge can of peaches in her box and wrapped it up. I was about 6 or 7, but I remember how funny it was. She was so mad. They later gave her the doll, after everything else was open.
  3. How soon can you rebreed after kindling? I'm trying to decide if we are going to do another show. I would have to breed December 12, and they are all due to kindle within the next week. We do not have enough does to breed other ones, and all the ones we have are already pregnant. They are Californians if that matters. This is our first year and we are still working on logistics. TIA
  4. I let the kids circle (in different colors) everything they wanted from the catalog. They came up with 3 pages in a notebook worth of stuff. I don't like the way the wishlist is done. It's not very user friendly. The email isn't real clear and I need 3 lists, not 1. DH's 78yo grandmother is pretty good on the internet, but I'm not sure what the easiest way to do this is. I think I will order another catalog, mark it, then help her order it if I need to. My mom lives about 1/2 mile away from her and said she would go help her if she needs to. Thanks for the info!
  5. I got a catalog from them last week. Look like pretty cool stuff. Has anyone ordered from them? How did it go? TIA
  6. I'll wrap if you'll do my shopping! When the kids were little, I would be done by now too. Not so easy now that they are older.:glare:
  7. We always traveled for Christmas when I was growing up. We opened before we left. There were always more than enough gifts to open at my grandparents house. It seems like it always ended up being the Tuesday before Christmas. That became our tradition, until I was pregnant with ds. We decided we shouldn't go that year, which was a good decision, since he was born Christmas Eve! Now we stay home for Christmas. I thought about going to my mom's this year, but we'll have baby bunnies, so I hate to leave.
  8. The boy is a buck, the girl a doe. The does have kits (litters). Gestation period is 28-31 days. And NO, the rabbits do not always immediatly know how to breed.:glare: (Ask me how I know!). Can you tell what we've been doing around here? Show is in January, kittens are due in about 2 weeks. Hopefully I've done it all right so we will have lots to choose from. I'll try to post pics when they are born. Now lets hope all 4 does are actually pregnant. We think they look a little fatter so that should be a good sign, right?
  9. That is a cool idea, and a break for everyone! I've thought about having a day where they help me catch up on grading. I'm still behind from being sick, now I'm dealing with a water leak we had this weekend. Maybe later this week.:)
  10. Good Luck! I hated mine. I used ammonia every once in a while, but of course, only when I could open the windows and put up fans.:glare: I never found anything that would get it clean other than on my hands and knees scrubbing. The contractors also scratched mine when they were building the house, but it didn't show up until later. They offered to "patch" it which would have looked worse than the scratch. We just left it.
  11. I always buy the kind I don't care for. That way, I'm not temped. My mom always had to bring the chocolate with her. Same with cookies, etc. I buy for DH's lunch. I refuse to buy snack cakes, since I can't seem to leave those alone!:tongue_smilie:
  12. I would say church or library. Or, you could get a small space heater and put in the room so you could do school. I know it isn't the best option for all the time, but temporarily it should be fine. And you're at home with all your stuff.
