  1. That is just atrocious! As far as his wife goes, did she not wonder what had happened to her daughter, all those years ago? Cassandra
  2. What a wonderful man he sounds to be! Prayers and hugs for him as well as your family! Cassandra
  3. I just purchased a new HP dv9000. What I really like about it is the number pad on the side. I paid $650 for it at Staples, plus there was a $50 rebate. However, my children have had different versions of Dell. They have never had any problems with theirs. Dell has an Outlet on their web page, and you can get them VERY inexpensive.
  4. Im from Florida, and I would definately not think that it would be the last person waiting in line. That just doesnt make sense to me. It should be the first one waiting, the one waiting the longest. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Too funny! My dh read this (he doesnt have any kids of his own) replies, "Uh! that was weird". ROFL!!
  6. I am a nurturer, so if I was not doing anything for someone else, I WOULD NOT be happy. Doing stuff for others IS what makes me happy. However, my dh just doesnt understand that concept. Oh well, God brought us together for a reason (if only I knew why ;-] Cassandra
  7. Congratulations on having such a fine young man! Kudos to YOU for raising him to be that way. Blessings, Cassandra
  8. We used Analytical Grammar, which I thought was very thorough. It doesn't take a whole year, if you do it the way the book suggests.
  9. We have used both Vocabulary from Classical Roots and Wordly Wise.
  10. I am so sorry! Lots of hugs and prayers from me! God WILL listen, comfort, and protect you. You will find peace in His word. Be careful whom you talk to, as far as family and friends go. Sometimes, even though they are well meaning, they may not be giving you the road that God is. I know that this is hard for you. I came home to all of my husbands stuff gone, with no warning. I was heart broken. But, the first thing that i did was fall on my knees and pray to God. I found so much peace and comfort throughout those months. My heart goes out to you and your children. And another thing, pray for your husband as well. It may not feel good the first, to even second time, but he is being deceived by Satan. He needs God too. Dont give up on your marriage, God can heal anything. Blessings, Cassandra
  11. Yes, we are ALL dealing with allergies around here. Cassandra
  12. Hannah, Hugs to you! I know how hard that can be. I don't know if you have any religious beliefs, but if it were me, I would take it to God. He can see things that we just cant. I know that some people might view that as a "cop-out", but it really helps me. I can find peace when He is involved. You will be in my prayers, Cassandra
  13. Yes, I have made and laminated a teacher card for myself. However, most places want a paystub to show proof. Thanks, Cassandra
  14. I will be praying for God's will and her, as well as her families, comfort. Cassandra
  15. I am a junk food junkie. If it is junk, I will eat it, lol! Cassandra
  16. He, as well as the family, are in my prayers. Please keep us updated. :grouphug: Cassandra
  17. My 14dd just got accepted to the community college and will start class the middle of May. However, she is wanting to purchase a car from her grandfather, so, she just found a babysitting job. I went with her for her 1st interview, and that went well. The lady needs a job, but she wants an evening job, so my dd would only need to be there a few hours each day. She told the lady that she couldn't work Wed., because of church; I was proud of her for that. So far that is the only job she can really do, until she turns 15. I am really proud of her for taking the initiative.
  18. Hello all! We are in Palm Coast, Florida. I see that I have a few neighbors! Cassandra in FL
