When we were :driving: to the park today, what do I see? Christmas trees. :eek: They are already selling christmas trees! Unbelievable! I certainly won't be buying a tree from them. We usually buy a tree a couple weeks before. They will be pretty crispy by then. Robin

Momma luna is 1 1/2 years old. She had a litter and we kept three of the kittens. 2 boys and 1 girl. A month or so ago, we had Luna fixed. She had no problems with the kids until after that. The kids are about to turn 6 months old. (they are getting fixed next week) She wants absolutely nothing to do with them. If they even so much as look at her, she will hiss and growl. She will even growl while I'm holding her, but instantly stops the minute she is in one of the bedrooms alone. Is this natural behavior due to instinct of separating from kids and we just have to deal with it. Or should we discipline as any bad behavior - admonishment, spraying with dr. no, etc. I read someplace that a mom cat will calm down once the kids are spayed/neutered and won't have to deal with the hormonal thing. Is this true? Help Hive mind. Robin

Aarrrg. What do you do with them. Anyone else's 9 year old driving them crazy. He is quite bright and smart, however wants to argue and question everything. Plus he seems to have lost his common sense and manners. And why is it I have to explain the same thing over and over again.:banghead: Any suggestions or commiserations? Robin

Personally, I would think it's tacky. But that's just me. It's just too impersonal. I'm sure you will get a half dozen different opinions. Go with what you think is best. Robin

He's 5 - I seriously doubt he has aspergers from what you said. He just isn't ready. The best thing for him is teach him at home. When james was 5 we put him in private catholic kindergarten class. He wasn't ready and being the typical 5 year old with short attention span and creative imagination, got thrown out at the end of the week. We were told by the teacher, "there is something wrong with him, get him tested." We went through the hoops of getting him tested for aspergers,etc. Results - he's just an immature 5 year old. Lots of grief for nothing. Go with your heart! Robin

Remember Monsters Inc? Well my husband had a 2319 moment yesterday at work. He was helping carrying a console out to a customer's car and noticed a despondent young woman sitting on the sidewalk. Being the nice guy he is, he asked if she was okay. After a short conversation, she asked for a hug. When she hugged John, she stuck her tongue in his ear! :eek::eek: His immediate thought was 2319, 2319. Because she seemed out of it, he asked if she needed an ambulance. She split quicker than quick. Hubby rushes into the shop and grabs some tissues, plus the purell hand gel and vigorously swipes out his ear. After getting home and telling me about the incident, (Me - :lol:) he wants me to now kiss the same ear and make it all better. "Sorry, darlin. Not until you take a shower and wash it out with soap and water." Blech! So, any 2319 moments in your life lately. Robin

My 9 year old is obsessed with star wars and will talk about it all day long. There are days I have to say "okay, let's stick with reality - enough about star wars" and he will table it for another day. This has been going on for the past two years. Before he saw the movies, he went online and researched everything there was to know about it. So, we ended up caving on every single movie, even though one is rated pg-13 and very dark, because he knew exactly what was going to happen and how. No surprises. We do end up getting in arguments however on which movie was truly the first. It's like the who's on first bit with abbott and costello. No, #4, 5, and 6 was 1,2, and 3. But when the new #1 came out, the old #1 became #4. Get it! Makes your head spin!. May the force be with you! :lol: Robin

At home I have to remember to say the U P S truck is here. Our regular driver is a nice guy and never has a bad word to say. Because at work, it is the oops truck. We get lots of damaged packages. But I do like the drivers, even if they do b**ch a lot. But what would we do without them, they are better (really) than the rest. Robin
