Sometimes we'll just do a breast, I usually get the fried ones from Sam's club if we do. I found a Frozen turkey breast kit at the grocery that I purchased when I went last time. Well, dh and youngest went to Sam's today for me, so we're eating the pumpkin pie I found at the grocer for dinner with the soup that my daughter made and saving the huge pie from Sam's for Thanksgiving.

Talked on the phone w/a friend in need, finally got her to agree to a grief group and therapy. Hopefully she'll follow through. Working on school. My dd made a wonderful soup!

I survived the grocery store! And I made two women extremely happy LOL. They were looking at my cart, I was behind them, and they asked if they could come to my Thanksgiving. I said sure I literally live down the street. And I meant it because they were just so nice and happy they just really gave me a good vibe. Anyhow they declined, but while we were in line for over 30 minutes they chit-chatted about it and told the checker LOL. The only thing the grocery store was really out of was anything having to do with pumpkin and turkey gravy. A little bummed because turkeys were on sale for 99 cents a pound and I paid like 30 bucks for my small turkey, but c'est la vie. Also a little annoyed at my son and his wife because I asked for the baby next week and now they want me to watch her tomorrow and I can't I have way too much school work.

I can't remember where I read it, but I did see in an article that KR has PTSD and is currently receiving mental help and therapy. He was 17 years old when all this happened and I think he will probably regret this for the rest of his life. He is not ok. And why should he be? I know LEO's who have had to shoot to kill while on duty and it is not something that just goes away.

Yes..the person who does this, his wife used to get angry, but now she just blows it off because she realizes he's never going to change and for some reason he "needs" everyone to like him.

I would think they were just doing the bare minimum to ease their own conscience or perhaps to make somebody in their life be quiet because they were nagging them about this situation.
