  1. I was all set to say oh my relative believes that too but then you went on and made my relative looks sane and rational. So Thanks! I hope he handles it well when we are all still here in October.
  2. I think we probably share very similar feelings about her husband. Still makes my blood boil to think about it.
  3. You said it was her faith that led her to believe that what she was doing was best. I disagree with that. She had faith, she believed in hell but it was her psychosis that led her to believe that what she was doing was best. If she didn't have faith she still would have had postpartum psychosis and still would have had fears that she would have wanted to save her children from. Without the psychosis she presumably would not have killed her children.
  4. If you are talking about Andrea Yates, she had postpartum psychosis. Religion did not cause her psychosis anymore than religion can cause cancer.
  5. Pop for the bus service, like another poster said the All Stars hotels all share bus service while Pop has their own. I like the theming of Pop and it is also fun to walk over to check out Art of Animation.
  6. I would never assume someone has their phone on do not disturb or keeps it in another room while sleeping. I treat a text like a phone call and don't text outside of the times I would phone someone in the olden days.
  7. After reading the GAL remarks in this article taking the kids away from the mom makes sense. That is some crazy stuff. Poor kids!! http://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/oakland-county/2015/07/10/children-detained-rejecting-father/29979759/
  8. I think you are putting the cart before the horse here. You do not have all the details on what happened and therefore can't decide how to handle it. Just ask her if your treadmill is broken and then figure out what to do. No need to get yourself all upset before you know the details.
  9. One I don't see listed is Garden Grill at Epcot. This has become an unexpected favorite of ours. The food is served family style and has always been good. It is a character meal and the restaurant rotates around Living with the Land. Now on the other hand I was very underwhelmed with Be Our Guest. A friend RAVED about it and pushed us to try and get in for lunch. That was probably the only meal I left still hungry on our last trip. I would have rather eaten at Columbia Harbor House.
  10. While I would never call the police I find it rude to block access to someone else's mailbox. At our last house our neighbor's nanny would park in front our our mailbox so the mailman would just skip us on those days. She was not parked illegally but it was very inconvenient for us. Thankfully the kids only lived there every other week so no nanny on the off weeks and then we moved.
  11. Wilderness Lodge is our favorite. Coronado Springs is ok. I don't like that it is a convention hotel though, it had a different vibe than other Disney hotels.
  12. I have never seen a non lifeguard wearing a standard lifeguard suit, that strikes me as odd. If I wasn't working then I would not want to be mistaken for an employee. At all pools and water parks I have been at the lifeguard is either in a chair or walking around carrying a buoy. They aren't usually hard to find. Is that not the norm? But if your child can't find you I would not direct them to a lifeguard as it isn't their job. They shouldn't be looking away from the water. I would suggest the snack stand or lifeguard office or shed, whatever the pool happens to have.
  13. Lutheran church and no security guards. Because we have a day school in the same building we have security cameras at the doors and locks that require you to be buzzed in when school is in session. My in-laws church doesn't lock their door ever but they are in a very rural location.
  14. Love, Mary? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love,_Mary
  15. I'm a little older than you and I think they look a little old ladyish. What about these? They should be comfy, have an ankle strap and don't go between the toes: http://www.6pm.com/naturalizer-carlita-saddle-tan-leather
  16. I would just be specific since it has caused confusion in the past, "We will provide the main dish and appetizers, please bring a side dish or dessert to pass."
  17. Where are you staying? I live in the St. Louis area and we have a lot of great things to do here. But it is tricky to get around without a car and we do have a lot of unsafe areas. In other places I have lived there has been more of a separation between the good and bad parts of town.
  18. I would talk with your son about peer pressure and how true friends won't force you to give up things(or do things) for them. Find some books on not trying to conform, A Bad Case of Stripes comes to mind. It would not bother me if my child gave up pork but I would not be ok with a friend putting that much pressure on them.
  19. It is harder to hit a moving target while you are under duress. But not all policeman are great shooters. They have minimum standards that they have to meet and some barely meet those.
  20. Except it wasn't. Period.
  21. 59 of the 61 arrests last night were people from the St. Louis metropolitan area.
  22. Actually we don't know for a fact that the officers story has changed. That version is what the chief thought happened but may not have been correct. We don't know where he got that info from or if he had even spoken to Officer Wilson at that point. I'm sure the media will read all the grand jury evidence and maybe that will give more insight into their decision. But one has to be open to learning more about their decision rather than just being focused on what was reported earlier in the case.
  23. It is an old picture when he was receiving an award.
  24. He wasn't even the one presenting to the grand jury. He was as hand off on this case as he could be while still doing the job that he has been elected to do by the people of St. Louis County.
  25. I find it difficult to believe that anyone believes that Michael Brown was shot for blocking traffic. I trust that the grand jury who heard all the evidence, saw all the autopsies and heard from all the witnesses made the best informed decision that they could.
