  1. From what I have read either he or his proxy could have gone to SC. Also the National Guard changed his orders with no problem so he could avoid being arrested in Iowa and I see no reason why they wouldn't have done the same if he had requested it to go to SC.
  2. According to his Facebook page he started Piedmont Community College in 2009 and graduated in 2012, started Georgetown in 2012 and has listed himself as graduating in 2014. I have a hard time believing that his home education was totally inadequate based on that timeframe.
  3. I have only placed one order with them and it took over 2 weeks to arrive. I live approximately 3 hours away from them so I was expecting a much faster delivery. Just when I was about to call and make sure that my order went through it finally arrived.
  4. This is from a CNN article "But business passenger Brad Rinschler, who takes the commuter flight three times a month, said he saw "definitely less than eight" chaperones with the students. He saw only two adults walk off the plane with the kids. And the chaperones sat in the front of the plane, while the noisy students sat in the back. Rinschler sat in business class, he said. He said about 10 of the more than 100 students didn't listen to the flight crew's instructions and were noisy, swapping seats to sit beside friends and using their cell phones. "They were laughing at them and ignoring them," Rinschler said of the 10 students. The crew gave the students "multiple chances" to heed preflight instructions. "They pilot warned them. They did not comply. They thought it was a joke. You know, it wasn't a joke," Rinschler said. "I've never seen this," he added. "It's a commuter flight. There's no families on it." Rinschler didn't witness any anti-Semitic events. "Absolutely not," he said. "There was not one ethnic slur from anyone on the flight crew or anyone who was inconvenienced for two hours. "If they were adults, they wouldn't have even had that many chances. That's the bottom line," Rinschler said."
  5. I used NL 3 with my third grader this past year. I thought the level of difficulty was appropriate. I liked that if was scripted as this was our first year homeschooling and science was my weakest subject. It was easy to follow yet not impossible to break away for discussion. Science was my sons favorite subject this past year and that was never the case when he was in school.
  6. When I was in public school in the 80's it was taught as an idea but not as fact. Or at least that is how I recall it.
