  1. Just be sure to try to brush yours before you leave the house, LOL. I have a friend who has that same hairdo but it's longer in the front on both sides. SO CUTE! A little more edgy, but what the hey, go full throttle!
  2. I cook 4 nights by myself. We eat out on Fridays. Mom #2 and I cook together on the weekends . . . sometimes that includes elaborate meals and sometimes we chop vegetables for chicken salad sandwiches, whatever it is, we do it together on Saturday and Sundays. :001_smile:
  3. Pretty much my only rule against singing and humming is none at the dinner table. My son would break into full fledged break-dancing at the table without such a rule (and has, which is why we have such a rule.) I have to tell you, I despise whistling. For some reason my mother taught me that it's a filthy, vile, un-lady-like habit. Doesn't matter to me, because I never learned how. My son whistles so loudly that it can be heard by deaf dogs for miles around. I hate it and shut him up within 5 seconds of him starting up. He can whistle while he's outside walking the dog. He can hum and sing all he wants. In fact, I've been known to join right in.
  4. The default setting is public but if you go under account settings you can change it to private and only those you invite to view will be able to or no one at all if you so chose.
  5. Isn't that the truth. Someone should put THAT on a bumper sticker. Glitter, anyone? :D
  6. I guess we're in that boat together. My Mom is the forwarder in my life. I delete all of her email unread. What's so sad is that I hate talking on the telephone so there have been several times where she's buried something important inside one of those prayer-flower-powerpoint emails and I missed it because I deleted it unread and didn't answer the phone when she called. Oh, well. Ce la vie! :D
  7. OMG! Go get it RIGHT NOW. . . you'll come back to us with a whole new appreciation/depreciation of the word! :D
  8.:lol::lol: I already woke up all the people in my house, now the DOG is giving me dirty looks! I'm going to bed FOR REAL this time. :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:
  9. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:She said "moist" too! I'm going to bed!:auto:
  10. I voted "purse" but I also say handbag. I use them both, I guess. It didn't bother me 30 minutes ago, but now I laugh every time Ang says "moist." I'm going to wake up my whole family if I can't get a grip sometime soon.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
  11. Uh, Oh. I actually do numbers 1 and 3. Perhaps I should explain. I keep the blinds drawn all day to keep the electric bill under $150 if at all possible. It's still very much light inside the house. Also, I talk on the phone while in the toilet because it is the only time my spouse calls me. It doesn't matter where I am or what I am trying to do, she always calls while I'm trying to pee. And she's the type to send out a search party if I don't answer the phone. Perhaps you've heard one of my conversations . . . it goes like this . . . "Babe, I'm trying to pee, can I call you back after I wash my hands?" No, seriously.
  12. Everything she just said and I know it may sound shallow but I simply LOVE fireworks. They are so delicious!
  13. :iagree: Oh, that's what I was thinking too. Lots of STD testing etc . . . free for the asking to those who cannot afford it. Ours also offers women's physicals. I would not want that service out of business. But I'm all the way on the left and a certified hippie . . . so you have to take my opinions as such.:D
  14. :iagree: I'm a little under the weather this morning, so this is about as articulate as I can be. ;)
  15. :grouphug: Poor baby. I'll be thinking good thoughts for him today. Also prayers.
  16. If you get the PayPal Plug In, you can use PayPal at place on line that accepts credit cards. PayPal creates a one time disposable credit card number and withdraws the money from your PayPal account. I love using it, because I don't like giving out my real credit card numbers. This way even if the site you are using isn't secure, that credit card number is only good for that one transaction.
  17. I'm so sorry about your brother. :grouphug: My mom has also been diagnosed with Schizo-affective Disorder, but refuses to accept it and is in deep denial. It's so hard to watch someone you love go through something that is painful for them, you, the family and everyone who comes in contact with them. Recently my sister and I have started going to a therapist together just to help us cope with the pain of watching someone you love slowly kill themselves by refusing treatment or constantly putting themselves in impossible situations that set them up to fail. Believe me, I'm not really a therapy kind of person, but I was at my wit's end and it was really starting to affect my own health (physical and mental) and how I interacted with my own personal family. They are my number one concern and I refuse to let any outside influences ruin their lives as well. It's such a hard balance. Impossible it seems some days. Will keep you in our hearts and prayers. I hope everything works out beautifully, and for your strength of spirit in case it doesn't.
  18. Some people are just more prone to cysts than others. I was in A LOT of pain when I had mine, to the point where I HAD to go to the doctor, and I'm not a doctor-going-to kind of person. I have had a (presumed) cyst or two since then, but it would pass just like the original one did. Usually I'll just wait it out, but it I was having that kind of pain every month, I'd get myself to a doctor right away. It could be fibroid cysts and you could have more than one. Depending where they are in your girly parts, they can be dangerous. You don't really want to play around with that. I'm certainly no kind of medical professional, but I hope that helps out a little. Oh, and I'm sorry to say that they had to do one of those horrendous v*ginal ultrasounds to diagnose it. I would do almost anything not to have to go through that again.
  19. I concur 100%. That little Chinese girl who went last after everyone else, her routine, to me, was more technical and beautiful than the one they gave the gold medal to. I guess it's just not for the layperson to understand. :001_huh:
  20. My son did it pretty independently and he was 13/14 somewhere around there. I gave him weekly printouts (I use HST+) of what he needed to get done each week and on Thursdays I looked over his On Your Own questions and we did labs together on Fridays. I wanted to supervise the lab work, especially the dissections, LOL, although I was so grossed out, he pretty much did those on his own as well. :tongue_smilie:
  21. The doctor just gave me pain medication and told me to go home until I had my cycle and started to bleed. After I finished my cycle he examined me again and the cyst had passed. No more pain. I imagine if you still have pain after your cycle, you should be concerned. Oh, and you're supposed to stay off your feet ect... while waiting to bleed. Activity or lifting anything over 10 pounds will only aggravate it.
