  1. Jann, You have been so very helpful, I hope you do not mind another question. I purchased, from Amazon, what I thought was a new student edition of the Lial's Introductory Algebra 9th edition. ISBN-13: 978-0321557131 What I received is the Annointed Teachers Edition. There are ISBN numbers inside the book I received however they are a bit confusing. I am a bit hesitant to order another book until I have more information. Do you have any suggestions that might help me make sure I am purchasing a new student edition? Thank you so much for your time.
  2. Beatrice is my favorite of the three Personally, I am not a fan of Trixie and have to admit I really like Triss as a nickname for Beatrice.
  3. Klmama, Thank you so much for the information about the extra practice problems & the link to the site. I am excited to know this option exists!
  4. Thanks Jann! Are you referring to videos for the 9th edition? Do the videos cover all the lessons or the tests? Speaking of the tests are they available for this textbook?
  5. I was hoping to use Foerster's Algebra, however I cannot seem to find a solution manual. So I decided to go ahead and order a copy of Lial's instead & check it out. Is there a big difference between the 8th & 9th editions of LIal's? Thanks
  6. Acellus Academy offers HS Biology, I am not sure how it would compare to BJU. http://www.acellus.com/info/high-school.html We have not used any Acellus Academy courses yet, so I cannot tell you anymore details about them.
  7. If you have used Kinetic Books Algebra courses can you please share your thoughts and experiences. Some question: Where would you say it falls on the rigor scale? Did you supplement it with another curriculum? How was your students retention? How easy is the course to navigate? Are there any video lesson/instructions? I would appreciate any information you could share that you feel might be helpful. The pros and cons?? Thanks.
  8. Perkybunch, Thank you for sharing your experience and for suggesting we stay with Horizons through Algebra 1. Continuing Horizons would have been my first choice if there were more support materials available. As much as I loved the preAgebra text I felt the teachers manual was problematic in many ways. It appears the Algebra I TM is the same.
  9. Typically how long does it take to receive an order from Rainbow Resource? Thanks.
  10. Here are some links that give more detailed information. If I understand it correctly it is 29.95 a month ( 299.95 for a year) for up to 5 classes. https://www.acellus.com/browse-courses.php https://www.acellus.com/how-acellus-works.php https://www.acellus.com/enroll/academy.php The site is new to me, I recently found it in a search. We have not tried any of the courses. Hth
  11. Acellus Academy - offers classes on various subjects from Elementary through College Prep. https://www.science.edu/Acellus/curriculum/
  12. Amithy, Thanks for the update. I have a few questions if I may. Can you please share why in the end you choose the 3rd edition? Are you using one of the DVD options? if so which one and why? Thanks.
  13. Cbollin, I really appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts & experiences in such a detailed way. You have been extremely helpful, thank you!!
  14. If you use Saxon 3rd edition Algebra 1 & 2, what do you do for Geometry? Since Geometry is included, is it complete enough to give Geometry credit? If so, how do you do this? If not do you do another full Geometry? Which one? If you have used the Saxon Teacher DVD's with these courses do you also need the solution manual? Where is the best place to purchase Saxon? Thanks for your time.
