  1. My husband will buy female products for me but he won't buy teA supplies. :glare: I am the one who has to get the ... teA gloves and teA glove lotion, and sometimes there isn't a female checker. Just something to try to make you feel better. Is it to late to see what you liked and buy it online? I giggle every time I read "nekkid."
  2. In no particular order: Mom Wife Christ-follower/Christian Conservative American Crafter Blogger Friend Sister Daughter Soon-to-be-an auntie for the first time! :001_wub: Teacher (homeschool) Nerd (not to be confused with geek ;)) Bookworm Weird person that says all the wrong things in group settings Obsessive Planner
  3. I call my in-laws "Mom" and "Dad." My parents aren't really in the equation, so no help there. Dh calls my Granny, "Granny," and, hmmm, I don't think he calls my other grandparents anything.
  4. I saw an idea on Pinterest for adding magnets on the back of scrabble tiles and using them. :001_smile: My only concern would be if you are only using scrabble tiles and not also using other things with OPG, because Scrabble tiles are all capitol letters, and sentences are mostly lowercase letters.
  5. I had a friend who got the Klingon translation of Hamlet for a birthday present. :D  That's how I know about them, too!
  6. I think having a list of questions will come off as an interrogation. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's just my in-laws, but if I start asking multiple questions, or insisting on answers or clarifications, I get a accused of ambushing/trapping/steamrolling/interrogating, whatever. Even if it's just me trying to get my husband to give an example of applying that day's sermon to his life while we're at his parent's house for Sunday lunch. :glare: ETA: What does the Renaissance have to do with polygamy? I'm only on book one of SOTW, so my history education isn't there yet, but was there really so much polygamy back then? If not, where is the idea coming from, and what does it have to do with their historical lifestyle?
  7. I think you handled it better than I would have. I don't like pushy people. :glare:
  8. I dressed as the scariest thing imaginable for an adult: an IRS agent. :D I wore a tie, had a badge, and told people I was going to audit their candy.
  9. :iagree: I was going to recommend something like this. A black hooded jacket with other fabric tacked on was how I made ds#1's bumble bee costume when he was 2. :001_wub:
  10. :bigear: I'm interested in an answer, too. Before things changed for us we were going to sign the boys up.
  11. I have one close friend, and a few people on facebook that I chat with occasionally.
  12. Check out Pinterest! ETA:Two years ago oldest was really into Thomas so I painted Thomas's face on a blue t-shirt and Percy's face on a green t-shirt. They insisted on wearing them again the next year. Thankfully I had gotten over-sized shirts.
  13. Because: Those were the only thing I could think of for listing my educational qualifications.I see that I don't actually have to put it on the affidavit, but would it come up in an audit?
  14. VERY helpful, thank you! 33-37 Custodian of Records (on the line by line helping document) it says Are there guidelines for this? Is there a required amount of hours/days for CA? And would my "qualifications" be my high school diploma, or "N/A" ?
  15. The second link in my signature has suggestions starting kids at (I think) 18 months. She's got a ton of awesome suggestions, check it out. :001_smile:
  16. Looking through a vocab list in a book I found "privatim" meaning "privately, at home.":001_smile: Hmm, still not sure that would look good on a transcript/resume.
  17. That does sound nice. Flipping through Song-School Latin (which we haven't started yet) I kind of like Aperi Librum Classical Academy (open the book (but only being said to one person ))
  18. I thought about keeping it just for the grammar level. We have to file an official affidavit with the school name on it (we're in CA so this has to get done before the 15th.)
