what fiction would you consider a must read before a trip to London for kids. We are reading Dickens, Shakespeare, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Sherlock Holmes currently or have recently. Of course we've also read lots of Nesbit and all of Harry Potter. Any other suggestions?

My son had lots of constipation. It was gradually resolved by going gluten free and taking double amounts of Miralax, proscribed by pediatric GI, plus magnesium. Then his naturopath was able to wean him off Miralax and now he just takes magnesium. We change the amount depending on how he is feeling, but most of the time he doesn't have any problems any more.

Where did you get the copy of Bloomfield's text? This looks like a great course for DS10, not sure if we would do Coursera or not. Since Coursera has an age limit, do you just sign yourself up?

Does anyone have any experience with CTY middle school science courses? DS10 will be enrolled in public middle school next year. Given his extensive science knowledge, I'm considering asking if he can opt out of the required science class and substitute with a CTY course. He has qualified for CTY, but we haven't tried any of the online courses yet. Are they worth the cost? How do they differ from a regular science course?

I kept having trouble with iMovie ( it said my Mac was too old) then suddenly it updated all by itself. It does seem like everything is running slower.

The Ball plastic containers are terrible--they shatter and the lids don't stay on. I freeze mine in plastic quart containers or ziplock.
