  1. I haven't knit socks using the Magic Loop but I have done hats with it - love it! Socks are my next thing to master...I just have to get this afghan DONE! I'm so tired of it!!!! One was fine - but two is just boring, LOL.
  2. I'm about half-way through the 2nd afghan I am making my parents for Christmas - they wanted matching ones for their chairs in their RV. I have also knit 3 hats in the past few weeks...and I want to make these for my youngest dds. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cyclades-vest http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/-249-childrens-neck-down-jacket
  3. My user name is just-jo and I am in the WTM group...just started trying to post. I too do not update my project page very often...in fact not hardly at all. I'm missing about 5 baby blankets, one afghan, two hats and numerous scarves that I have done in the last few months. :D
  4. I have one that is starting to need to use deodorant at that age also...I won't lie it freaked me out too. None of my others have needed it so young.
  5. :grouphug::grouphug: My son took it this morning....he WISHES I would have gotten the times wrong...but we actually got there early...much to his dismay. It is his practice year - so let him practice at home with practice tests....complete with filling out the grids (that takes practice too ;) ) My ds almost put his zip code in the wrong place today, LOL. My oldest never took the PSAT because I just didn't know about it. I somehow missed all the information on that (I wasn't hooked into a good homeschool group or here at WTM then either) She still did fine with the ACT. Don't beat yourself up over it...take care of the ones that are sick and take care of yourself.
  6. :grouphug::grouphug: I would unfriend too....but not right away. I like to make people think it doesn't matter to me what they think and really it shouldn't matter what they think anyways. I wouldn't want to give her the satisfaction of thinking that she had upset me. Then down the road I would unfriend her when I remembered again...for now I would just hide her. :D
  7. Thanks, I made the digital page along time ago when I used to scrapbook...trying to get back into it.

  8. I love your avatar! I am such a coffee addict :)

  9. Missing adult teeth sounds like a pretty common occurrence :D My oldest dd is missing 3. She just had an implant done on one - it had one of those silver temporary crowns put on it when she was about 8 because the baby tooth cracked. They were trying to make it last until her adult tooth came in - which of course it never did. The cost of the implant is about $3,000 a tooth for us. Our dental insurance covers about $80 of the oral surgeon's work :001_huh: The dentist told us that the others should last her quite a while if she takes care of them. However, hers are not front teeth.
  10. I'll try to relisten to them again. I have them on my iPhone and listen while I'm driving or escaping in my room :D
  11. I'd pull him too. Are you paying money for this???? :001_huh: My son is taking chemistry (Apologia). His teacher is kicking his butt. He has a LOT of work to do at home and then class is FULL of working problems, doing labs and reviewing for tests. She has them do an extra handout per Module that she creates herself. I do pay a monthly fee and the teacher is a polymer chemist. This class has been worth EVERY penny!!! This is what I would be looking for in a class that involved my time. I have too little of it to waste.
  12. :iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree: I would be more concerned about my son's lack of respect for the teacher that caused her to come to that point. I would also expect my son to grow a thicker skin. He will have to deal with all types of people in the world. Sometimes people say things to you that hurt your feelings. It would be a point of inner-reflection for us. A key phrase around our home is "life is tough, get a helmet." :D
