  1. We're running into the same problem. I take it as an opportunity to work on number-writing.
  2. Yes! I have a friend who is a potter and she suggests sandpapering the broken pieces before glue-ing (with something REALLY strong, like Gorilla Glue) and after it's dry, sealing the break with clear nail polish.
  3. But Kindles can read PDFs...:001_huh: http://mashable.com/2009/11/24/kindle-battery-pdf/
  4. Yep, St Anthony. My mom loves him. How did you lose them? If you accidentally threw them away, chances are slim anyone found them. If you left them at McDonald's, I'd probably be more concerned.
  5. LOL, I need to quit fretting and take a nap or something. Someone linked it above, too. Thanks!
  6. I'm at a loss here. My son (just turned 5 last month) spent the summer flying through all the math curriculum and workbooks I bought and now I need something else for this coming school year. We flew through Singapore 1A and 1B and now he has gone through all the random workbooks I have purchased over the summer- including some intended for other grades. What is the best curriculum I can purchase for him as an accelerated learner?
  7. I need the "other" option. My husband works shift work, so if he's working the night shift, lunch is our main meal and it happens about 2:30 or so. If he's on the day shift, dinner is our main meal and it happens about 7. I'm very big on eating as a family, even if we have to alter our schedules to accommodate one person.
  8. And I probably should have forewarned you that I'm VERY picky about fabrics on my pads. I only like stuff like bamboo velour. I don't believe in sticking crap fabrics in my lady garden.
  9. I only like ones with at least 2 sets of snaps. It helps keep them in place :)
  10. Well, since I don't know what the question is... Yes, it's probably going to hurt, but it will get better. It's completely normal. You can get pregnant the first time. Put some baking soda and vinegar on it. Take some 'Tussin. You should probably go to the doctor. Did I answer your question? :tongue_smilie:
  11. My dear friend Sue makes some and I just adore them :) I've used Mama Cloth since my son was born. http://www.pinklemonadeshop.com/
  12. 5, but we live at the end of a quiet street on a military base. I leave the doors open (storm doors shut) and open the blinds. He is only allowed to go to two people's houses and I can see both of them from my door (plus, I know the parents).
  13. Well, I went up to Lancaster (home of the infamous Pennsylvania Dutch) this past fall and there were mostly traditional families up there- very quiet, very plain. I stopped and bought potatoes from one of the Amish farms up there and they were as traditional as traditional could be. There may be more modern groups where you were- I think it really just depends on where you go.
  14. Thanks for sharing! Are we neighbors, Beth? I live in Frederick!
  15. I, personally, think that's awesome. Modern literature is opening them up to classic literature. I don't know much about the series because my son is too little to care about it, but I love that they are interested in greek literature because of a modern book.
  16. I only do it if it's a close friend or family member that I know won't mind. And if they asked me to remove it, I would
