Beautiful moonset this morning. I enjoyed watching from my living room.

It is the 3rd morning in a row that I have watched a beautiful moonset over our lake.

There is a pretty decent size flock of White Ibis hanging out in our back yard today. Lots of fun to watch and do a little research on.

My dd(5) is on her bed reading a chapter book all by herself. She has read aloud chapter books with mom before but this is the first one she has decided to read on her own!

My soon to be 5 year old is sitting in the dog crate with our 50 lb dog reading him a book. No I am not crating dd she crawled in there and is playing. Really cute.

Taxes are done for this year! I just put them in the mail this morning.

Went upstairs to take a shower this morning and came down to water all over the table. Luckily this time I can call the landlord and it is her problem instead of mine to fix.

I am down 20 lbs since joining the gym and getting a trainer in the middle of December. I am working out for an hour 3-5 days a week. I feel better and can really notice the difference.

We are staying on a Mardi Gras parade route in a small town near New Orleans. Dh has a sinus infection and doesn't want to head to the clinic because he won't be able to get back to the apartment. Oh yeah it is the only parade we are likely to see since dh and dd have both been sick.

Going to go to the doctor today, I have been sick for a week.

I survived day 2 of working out at the gym. 1/2 an hour on the bike and almost 1/2 an hour of upper body workout.

Just finished our first ornament making session with dd. They turned out really neat and she had fun.

Only 3 days to Thanksgiving and I am still sick after being sick for 2 weeks.

Thanks for the hugs. I had lots of weird dreams last night, that I am sure are all related to what is going on. The pinterest comment worked.

Thanks, that is so true. Hardwork and life on the water makes you forget so many problems!

Our home is on a lake that is too shallow for sailing right now due to the lack of rain. My dh is currently working in Beaumont, TX so we are hanging out in a hotel until the job either looks like it will last longer or another job comes along. I'm hoping that we will break out the kayaks either this weekend or next.

We sailed a lot on the Chesapeake Bay and around the Newport News/Norfolk area. We took the boat down the intra coastal waterway down to the Florida Keys, when I was pregnant with dd. We sold it shortly before she was born, but we are hoping in a couple of years to buys something more suitable for three of us to live and cruise on.

Hi Elinor, I saw your post on the why does nobody read my threads...I noticed in your signature that you are into sailing, kayaking and travel. Dh and I bought a couple of kayaks and are using them on our lake. We sailed for several years on a 36' sailboat and we both have experience on small boats as well. We end up traveling a lot especially within the US due to dh doing contract work. I just thought I would say HI!
