So sad today, found out cousins stealing Grandpa's money. Grandpa is sharp mentally but 100 years old and very weak physically. My Aunt and her children care for him. He is comfortable financially and I don't know how much was taken. My mom is a recluse and I don't think she is going to try to defend grandpa or protect her inheritance. I am sad for Grandpa and my Mom. My mom lives on a meager amount and i think she was looking forward to her small inheritance. Anyone deal with this? I am thinking Mom should either go in like a tiger or back off totally :glare:

In an idea world ... But then you are inviting a sex offender to your house by default ... Putting your children at risk. I am sure she will bring him around or he might hang around nearby to be close to them. There is no telling if their story about his record being expunged is true or not. There is a whole church body helping them - they are in good hands. Hopefully, the family will get help with birth control too until they get back on their feet.

I requested my fathers DC online in Oregon. I had to state who I was and e-mail them front and back of my driver's license. The DC did state his cause of death. I think each state has their own policies. HTH

Mine are welcome to stay home while they finish college - and welcome to be home longer if they wish. My mom ejected my brother and I when we were very young. We both became emancipated minors and put ourselves through high school. I don't want my children to ever struggle like that.

I bought an item from eBay in June and it didn't arrive (parcel post) so I emailed the nice seller and filed a claim. I was refunded my money by Paypal. The item arrived around 50 days after I paid so I emailed the seller with the good news. She contacted eBay and said they refunded her. But the money has not come out of my account. Is this odd? Will they eventually take it out or do they absorb the cost? Buying online has become so annoying lately.

Fewer than 20 counting coats and shoes?? :confused: I need to go back and relook at her website - 33 just seems so extreme. Especially when that is counting coats and shoes for those of us who live in places that have seasons (deep snows and hot summers). Edit: I missed the whole part about boxing up the rest for 3 months. It seems more doable now that I see that this runs in 3 month cycles :)

LOL! Too funny! My twins would tear down baby gates at that age too. They treated baby gates like a challenge to be conquered in the least time possible.

Four boys and one tomboy here - they sat in a laundry basket and surfed down our 30 step spiral staircase. They also caught many trantulas, snakes (some venomous), scorpions, squirrels, armadillos ... Hedgehog, bunnies and probably others I am not aware of. This is the reason Mothers Day was invented - our reward for surviving another year.

I went to my closet and stopped counting at 30 :glare: OK, winter coats and formals don't count, right!?!? :001_huh:
