  1. I googled the bookcase and came up with Shawn Soh as the artist. I think they are made of steel and cost around $850: http://www.coochicoos.com/decor/shawn-sohs-tree-bookshelf.html?utm_source=BlogGlue_network&utm_medium=BlogGlue_Plugin If I were to build one, I would get out my mider saw make it out of wood.
  2. There is a Christmas tree on Pinterest too that is perfect for the WTM bibliophiles - it is about five feet tall and made of books! LOL!
  3. Same here - my children are too old for this. However, I am thinking a modified version would be great for my kitty :001_smile: I really like the painted bird on the wall.

  5. Where would a person find such a cute cottage? If you wanted one would you look for an existing one or find a piece of land and have one placed on in?
  6. I tossed out ALL my clothes and filled my closet with Eileen Fisher clothes. They are made to mix and match and I love the quality fabrics. The new prices are $$$ but they can be bought (new and used) for about $10 to $40 and up.
  7. It sounds like "oranges". LOL!! I love Pinterest - it is always good for a smile
  8. LOVE all the tips! Thank you so much - I am now on a mission
  9. I like how women over here in Europe wear scarves as accessories. I am guessing it (the style) is similar in (cities in) the US. I like the styles of the designer Eileen Fisher too. However her scarves are $$$. any advise on which quality scarves to buy at a more economical price? What do you look for when you you buy them - and where do you buy them? Thanks!!
  10. Part of my frustration comes from the results - which simply say "Non-HPV PAP II".
  11. Interesting. Thank you all for your input. I am ready to tear my hair out because I feel I receive more information, KNOWLEDGE, advice and honesty from you all than I do from my medical care facility. I am in Germany and am dealing with menorrhagia and non-HPV pap that is unspecified not normal. I don't know if it is abnormal, atypical ... Or which cells ... Just received a "see ya in 3 months". For the menorrhagia I was given a hormone to take 2 weeks prior to each cycle for 3 months. HOWEVER, I have read that factors can cause it (cancer, non-ovulation and infection) yet none of those were looked at or tested for. I finished month one of pills and still have menorrhagia :*( Years ago I dealt with abnormal paps and cryosurgery and told it was HPV - then I read they just assumed it was HPV because of the dysplasia. They never did find out where the abnormal cells were coming from even after uterine biopsy. I am going to compile all this information into a journal and go back to the next appointed well armed ...
  12. Julie, be prepared for them to love PS, if you decide to let them go. Are YOU ready for that? Because it will be a can of worms if you open this dialog with them, and they love it, and you do not. I allowed my youngest to go to PS and they absolutely love it. I miss them :glare: - they are thriving at PS and it offers more than I could at this place, at this point in time. I figure I am going with what is best for them - with frequent reevaluations :001_smile: Blessings on your decisions!
  13. Our children here have to receive mandatory flu shots. I too had shots in K @ PS.
  14. Is it correct that there in no test for HPV? That certain abnormal (or atypical, not sure of the terminology) pap results are assumed HPV? Also that most cases of HPV (go away) themselves? Is dysplasia ALWAYS caused by HPV? Or do they (doctors) assume dysplasia is caused by HPV? I would like to know what you all know - I read conflicting information. Thanks!
  15. My daughter had said she appeared to not be very familiar with homeschooling. My daughter (said she) was not defensive - rather she said the woman seemed to know little about HSing. So I would gather that she was simply courious AND quizzing too. Of course PSers can be smart, sweet and social - she is the PS teacher of my teen boys and said she adored them :) My oldest son who is an engineer - he is like a big brother and mentor to many of his peers. He was sitting with them and one started complaining because a PS kindergarten teacher told him and his wife they should HS their daughter because she was too advanced for the K curriculum. He went on about how unsocialized HS children were and don't fit once they grow up etc. My son just laughed and kept agreeing and finally told him that he was HSed. :) My point was that my HS products ;) continue to be questioned about HSing even years after they graduate.
  16. NEVER!! My very socially graceful 20 year old daughter is finishing up her BA degree at a nearby college. Turns out my (15 year old) sons PS teacher is in her class. The woman went on about how polite the 15 year old is and how she loves him. Then she found out my 20 year old was HSed and never went to a day of PS. She then started to quiz my daughter on socialization ect. Luckily my daughter knows all of the pat answers and gives them with a sweet smile and confidence. She didn't know the 15 year old had previously always been HSed either ... How did she think he got to be so social, sweet and smart?!?! LOL!
  17. Also, it might help to tell your children not to let it perpetuate by feeding into the 'he-said-she-said'. We have a funny scenario we played with our children when they were younger - it was to help them deal with adults that try to (deceptively) ply information out of them: Adult: "So, what does your mom/dad think/say/do about _______ ?" Child: "I don't know. Ask my mom/dad" Adult: ... persists in their questioning ... Child "WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" OK, so the last two lines were the funny part and they never had to resort to that
  18. Never heard of it. I went over and tried to join - was put on a wait list lol!
  19. :iagree: Delete them from your Facebook accounts too. I would also delete or put private anyone on your Facebook who you think would allow her to see your account through theirs.
  20. Document, photograph and Whatever else you need to do to protect your family. I would also NEVER allow my children alone around them. Personally, I would pull my children out of all programs that this family participated in. Your poor son hid under the house, that is so sad.
  21. Thanks Heather. I will tell her that. She does not have that certificate yet - I will ask her if she knows about it. She will have her BA in English next December.
