  1. Target has clothes and accessories that fit American Girl dolls and Bitty Babies. They are MUCH cheaper than AG and the quality is just as good.
  2. Does anyone know if you are protected against fraud when you use a debit card, the same way you would be protected with a credit card? A company fraudulently charged DH for something. He has called several times for a refund but they will not return his phone calls. Can he contact the bank and request a chargeback? Or, is that just for credit cards? Thanks!
  3. I agree. Also, I remember reading somewhere that if any of your information is ever stolen, one should always contact the police and make a report. That way, if anything ever happens, you have documentation that could help her out.
  4. Wow -- that's pretty high! I buy the same bread and it costs $2.89 where I live.
  5. When my dd4 was a newborn, one of the greeters in Walmart actually kissed her on the cheek! I was mortified and ran directly to the aisle with the anti-bacterial wipes and thoroughly wiped her face after I paid for them. People really should know better than to touch a stranger's infant. They can spread colds, the flu, and much worse. The woman who kissed my daughter could have given her a cold sore, for heaven's sake!
  6. This is an unfortunate situation. I agree with the other posters: You do not owe her anything if you did not sign an agreement with her. She is being very aggressive, probably because the market is so slow right now. The seller usually covers the agent's fees. The builder wants to add $5,000 to the cost of the house because they don't want to pay the commission. Do you know how the agent arrived at the $5,000 figure? Was her percentage ever discussed? Commission is not set in stone. She could come down on it if she wanted to. Perhaps you, the builder, and the agent you could all work something out so that she can still represent you, but at a lower fee (and not at your expense). With the real estate market being the way that it is, I would think that they both would be willing to compromise a bit. Good luck -- I really hope you get your house!
  7. My dc wouldn't be able to do that because they wear school uniforms that must be pressed. I wouldn't have time in the morning to iron before school.
  8. I have another one to add! Just this morning, I slipped down an entire flight of stairs while carrying my dd4. I made sure that I took the brunt of the fall so, thankfully, she was not hurt. However, I have a few bruises and a very sore back!
  9. DH just found an $80 bicycle for $15 (like new) and I found a beautiful winter coat for DD for $5. The same brand of coat sells at Macy's for over $100!
  10. I haven't had a full night of sleep since I was pregnant with my first child (over 8 years ago). I know that is why and I'm so cranky all the time!
  11. I'm so sorry about your dog. I hope he recovers. :grouphug:
  12. Last night I put dinner in the oven, set the timer for 60 minutes, and left the room. After about 4 minutes I returned to the kitchen and heard the microwave humming. Our oven and microwave are built into the cabinets; they are connected to each other and share a key pad. Instead of setting the timer for the oven, I had turned on the microwave! Good thing I caught it after just 4 minutes! :blushing:
  13. Unfortunately, we paid via debit card. I'm glad to hear that everything worked out well for you!
  14. Congrats on the birth of your baby, Aubrey! I haven't been on the boards much since school started a month ago. I hope everything went well!
  15. I'm so glad you found a cause for your condition -- that must be a relief!
  16. Thanks, everyone! I am going to talk to DH and ask him to either give them a call or go in with me.
  17. Me too. They won't allow us to have yard sales. :confused1:
