Have you checked out DIVE Biology? http://www.diveintomath.com This is a super course & you he supplies the syllabi to supplement his course with many popular Biology books. ( Apologia, BJU. Campbells) He has the video labs on the CD Rom & it costs about $50.00!!! You could supplement this course with both Apologia Bio & Ad Apologia Biology. This may work to use with both boys! When using both Apologia books...this is an Honors Biology course. My kiddo did this is 9th! Super course!

I really like scented candles!!!:D But, I have recently heard & read about some studies showing they are not good for our health...some fumes even proven to cause breast cancer...???!! This is based on people who continually burn a lot of these candles & for long periods of time ~especially in enclosed areas--:tongue_smilie: Any thoughts??:001_smile:

**Simply try a mixture of: 1 tsp. plain yogurt, 1 tsp. honey & 1/2 tsp. olive oil. It works wonders for the dry ends of your hair!;) So, focus on the ends & rinse off with cold water. I am amazed at how much healthier my hair looks! Also.....drink water!! It helps to hydrate your hair & skin.

We started Omnibus III....because this is what VP says they use for 9th. I tried to follow their plan ( both primary & secondary books....) ---so, that the credit we give him could be verified by VP if needed. I really think both Omnibus I & III study very challenging books....the difference is simply the way they are studied. Ominibus I - Logic stage & Omnibus III- Rhetoric. If questioned about the program...I just wanted it to follow the plan set out by VP. (Although, many people have used Ominbus I,II & III....for high school before the others existed!) Now we just have a choice!:D I am sure either way is just fine. Have fun! We really have enjoyed using Omnibus!

Thank you for reminding me to just take time off....& recharge!:001_smile: I think I need to work this into my life all year long! It would be more fun to pace myself with fun stops to recharge --instead of waiting until I have this large block of time. By the time I get to this "large block of time".....I feel drained. SO, thank you for your encouraging words!! ....I am off to ....."window shop, read magazines at Barnes & Nobles & sip some Starbucks ...all by myself"!!!!;)

I am sooo there!!:tongue_smilie: I have decided I need to get my priorities in order....& not lose myself in "homeschooling" I think we all need to remember to take time out & take care of ourselves! It is lovely to think for myself....! So, set the planning books aside & relax. Plan some "Mommy Nights out" & pamper yourself. We all wear ALOT of hats.....it really is a freeing experience to shed a few during the summer! Enjoy & Relax!!:iagree:
