  1. I Highly Recommend Math Mammoth! We switched over from Horizons-My boys have been using Horizons Math for a few years now and MM is so much better! They really have to pay close attention and Math seems to be "sticking" a lot better than it did with Horizons. :) We are using the Light Blue Series.
  2. I have requested this at the library and will pick it up Tomorrow. :) Thank you for the Recommendation.
  3. Sending Lots of Positive Thoughts, Vibes and Hugs your way. Take care of YOU right now.
  4. I am so very Sorry. I went through this about a year ago and I KNOW how hard it is.
  5. I would love this also. :) My 8 year is fascinated with the Presidents. :)
  6. We are only a few lessons into it, but so far...My Guys like it and it's a plus for me to see them get so excited about doing Spelling. :)
  7. We are going on our 5th year now, and for us..Math is always better in the afternoon-after lunch. I like to save it for last. I am Seriously considering year round...I really think it would be better for my oldest.
  8. We are using FLL and WWE here. I wanted to make sure FLL is enough, so am also supplementing with the Evan Moor's Daily Language Review.
  9. And I just realized I posted this on the WRONG board....lol I meant to post on the General/Parents board...See I REALLY am drained!! lol
  10. If the wait gets too long..Maybe you can check and see if your local Library has them? :) Enjoy!! :)
  11. The day was going well until this afternoon--MATH, then my oldest son had a total Math Meltdown. I usually set a timer, but Today He just absolutely REFUSED to get it done. Sooo.....This Evening--We are ordering Take Out, and I am going to hide in our bedroom and watch Vampire Diaries while Hubby sits with my son and makes sure the Math gets finished. I will prob dip into my Chocolate supply as well...lol :) Stacy in Ks.
  12. I just checked out Buffy Season 1 and 2 from the library and will be starting on them as soon as I finish up Mad Men-Season 3. :)
  13. We are going to be starting a Spelling Program this year. I was all set on buying Megawords but saw some mention of All About Spelling here..so I went to check it out on Rainbow Resource-read reviews etc...And I see that there are wonderful, raving reviews for All About Spelling, but none for Megawords. I greatly value your opinions, etc...so would love to hear your opinions and reviews on both of the programs. Cost is also a big concern as we are on a tight budget right now...I saw that you need some extra's for All About Spelling-are the extra's necessary, etc? :) Thanks in Advance for your feedback.
  14. Hi Jessica :) Congratulations and I am so happy to hear that things are going so well for you. :) We went to the Grand Cayman in 2005 and you MUST go feed the Stingrays. We didn't take the excursion through the Cruise company, but booked our own excursion with this company and we were so glad we did!!! It is a smaller boat with just a few people aboard and Captain Marvin's team are so friendly. Make sure you tell them what time you need to be back to the ship and they will suggest what tour your should plan, etc. Here is a link: http://www.captainmarvins.com/ The excursions through the ship tend to be really overcrowded. Hope this helps!! :) Stacy in KS
  15. I just sent you a Private message and Thank you so very much!! :) Stacy in KS
  16. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with your suggestions. :) I have been looking at Handwriting without Tears and it does look like something that may work for us, and is easy on the budget. Another Question-Are the Teacher/Parent Guides really necessary? :)
  17. Hi there :) I had asked a question earlier about Cursive and Handwriting without tears was suggested...I have been looking it over this evening and it looks like something that may work well for us. This also looks like something that may work well for my younger son as well...Are the Teacher Guides really necessary for these? I am on a really tight HSing Budget this year..so if we can live without it..that would be wonderful. :) TIA, Stacy in KS
  18. Hi there, Does anybody have any suggestions for a cheap and easy Beginning Cursive Program/books? :) I have looked a the Evan Moor Daily Handwriting-Cursive books-but are these thorough? Our HSing Budget is really tight this year, so I need something that is fairly cheap. :) TIA. :) Stacy in KS
