My mom is in sales so we were able to work it out where hubby will school the kiddos and I will head down with my mom for the convention. Her work will pay for our hotel. :) Makes the budget go a little further. :) Alison

I have not been to the Cinccinatti HS Convention in the past. I have no idea about prices of vendors etc. What do you think.....should I get my TOG before 2/1 or should I hold off for the convention (March 27-29) and see if the price is better? We just returned from Disney in Nov. We used the meal plan which was a GREAT thing. It wasn't free but we were able to split up meals.....note that the kids will probably NOT eat as much as they are given so you could split it into two smaller meals and then you have "bonus" snacks...when you just use the other meal as a split again. We stayed at the Pop Century. We were able to stay at Disney...3 adults (my 11 yo is considered adult) and 1 child for 4 nights, 5 days and the meal plan for $1100. Also, you can use your unused tickets. I know you used to just take them up to the entrance gate...I went in 2000 and used tix from the 80s. It was a huge thing there everyone was showing it around since the 80s ticket only had on it Epcot and MK..... I liked the boards at wdwmagic.com for tips too..they are very helpful on deals and such. I bought the Unofficial guide to WDW it was incredibly helpful. HTH, Alison

The PS here currently use Everyday Mathematics but they are "testing" out Scott Foresman with all the student starting next week. My dd is in PS and I hs my ds. Everyday Mathematics is horrible in my opinion. It really has a round about way of solving problems and makes more work out of the whole process causing the children to dislike it. I know that the Scott Foresman is suppossed to be pretty decent. HTH, Alison
