  1. We use the red plate too! Had one when I was a kid, and loved it. Love to see my kids loving it too. They always remember it, while I always forget it.
  2. Retinoid would probably help, but can cause dryness. The routine my dermotolist had me do was this; Wash face with cetaphil cleanser, apply cereve face lotion, let skin absorb, apply tretinoin, let dry for 5-10min, then apply aquaphor. This kept me from getting horrible dry patches and peeling.
  3. When I was in hospital to deliver my baby, they gave me a swab. I swabbed myself, not deep, then they got results back in a couple hours. It seemed rapid to me. I was negative.
  4. Someone just posted about this. My kids use Gordini gloves and mittens for sledding, skiing, skating and playing in snow.
  5. Kindred spirit here. Occassionally, I wear makeup for a holiday. By makeup, that is basically blush. I've never worn foundation. I wash in the shower with a cetaphil cleanser. Afterward, I'm supposed to use my cereve face lotion with spf. I'm consistent in the summer, but not doing now, in the winter. I guess I don't think it's important since I'm not in the sun, but it's dry so I should be moisturizing! I know it's most important to moisturize at night, but I usually forget or I don't feel like having a greasy face. My dermatologist uses aquaphor at night. I usually do too, when I feel like it, ugh like once a month. Cereve in tub is also good, not as good as aquaphor, but less greasy. Look for things that say "non comedogenic." Really, I'd be doing better if my new clarisonic (purchased right before they went out of business) would hold a charge. I bought up a ton of brushes when they closed shop and then my unit quit holding a charge. But I would recommend using a cleaning brush like that. Use it in the shower, it feels good, expholiates, and reminds you to take care of yourself. I was consistently moisturizing when I used it. Also, I liked using the retinol cream, tretinoin. Having a routine using that helped me be consistent too, and forced me to use moisturizer. However, I can't use while pregnant or breastfeeding, so won't be using for another year. Anyway, you're not alone.
  6. I consistently forget pronunciations for certain words:( Temporal is one of them. I have to stop and think about the word before I say it. It is so frustrating. I can't think of others right now... but they are repeat offenders.
  7. Love this too, but why is it only available in the small tubes? O'Keefe's working hands is actually pretty good. I finally tried my husband's.
  8. We have cold, fairly dry snow. But they do sometimes end up on the boot dryer.
  9. We use Gordini gloves and mittens too. They are reasonably priced and I buy more on black Friday every year. We get the ones with pockets for hand warmers. The also have adult sizes. I like the gauntlet style with longer cuff.
  10. @BaseballandHockey Best to you. I remember your past persona, and you have been through so much and you and your husband shared so much stress and work. You can work through your difficulties now. ((Hugs))
  11. @school17777 I find this so funny. Actually, his "guy who decides packaging", "guy who decides covid restrictions", and "meanwhile in australia" videos are all very funny.

  13. @popmom She has a huge appetite now, but her metabolism is about to drop due to meds and she will need to curb her eating or she'll have huge weight gain. Dr just said to be careful and steer her away from high caloric foods. I told her I got a flat of yogurt at costco, and she warned me to make sure dd only ate one at a time. I'm just trying to have better habits established before her system slows. Eta: Oh, and dr is endocrinologist. Eggs have high iodine content. Part of why I'm watching sodium also. Dairy has iodine and bromine. She's not a big cheese eater anyway.
  14. She's been saying she wishes she could have popcorn, but she can't with braces.
  15. @wendyroo , thanks. The precooked meats is a good idea! She loves grilled teriyaki chicken, even cold, but I could make a lower salt version. And I think deli turkey would be low sodium? She would snack on it rolled up. She likes beef jerky and I have made our own but never low salt. She likes eggs, but they are high fat, and I think yolks are high iodine. I'm still unclear on how much iodine she should have in her diet. I have made roasted chickpeas but cannot recall if she likes them! I could try them again... hmm thinking curry to go low salt. She loves curries. This is a good thing to try to fill a canister and a nice crunchy snack. She loves cottage cheese but it is high sodium and fat and she may need to drop dairy from her diet.
  16. She does like hummus. Dried fruits, she will eat apricots and cranberries and cherries, but cranberries have added sugar. Unsweetened dried cherries have more sugar than gummy bears. Dried fruits aren't the best because they have the calories but not the water content, so you end up eating more calories than if you just ate the fruit. I don't think she likes greek yogurt but she does add homemade low sugar jam to regular mountain high plain yogurt and likes it. She doesn't like sweet potato fries. I guess I'm looking for something I can fill a canister with and say "Snack on this" without too much guilt. Something that she can adjust to snacking on now and it would transition well when she is burning fewer calories.
  17. Detaching. I doubt I was very memorable anyway.
  18. Or they may have a med condition like hyperthyroidism or blood sugar issues.
  19. This recipe is good. I think I heaped the yeast measurement. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/161586/papa-drexlers-bavarian-pretzels/ It's one of at 15 recipes that I have in my 30 open tabs. I'm meaning to add these to my hard copy recipe book. I also have 4 tabs with classical reading lists. I really need to reduce the tabs.
  20. We like jaegerschnitzel, and always make with pork loin for Oktoberfest and maybe 1 other time per year. Slice, pound, bread and fry. This recipe is good. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/guy-fieri/jagerschnitzel-with-bacon-mushroom-gravy-jager-hunter-recipe-1943082
  21. I'm so glad. I was so sorry for her previous loss. Is this one a boy or girl?
  22. Ok, please do. I hate shopping. Except I like the target ones length. I'm not tall (I'm average!) and don't want it to drag the floor.
