  1. My dad, in his late 70's at the time, had a cardiac arrest and was unconscious for several days. After he recovered he spoke about being in a very warm, peaceful, comforting place, like being in warm water.
  2. Math: Math Mammoth, and Math-Whizz Language Arts: Phonics Road, plus IEW and TOG Writing Aids as needed History/Bible/Literature/Geography: TOG year 1 with SoTW 1 and Activity Guide for narrations, comprehension, etc. Spanish: La Clase Divertida, finish level 1 and start level 2 Other: piano, swimming, running with dad
  3. My plan so far: Language Arts: Phonics Road, possibly IEW Math: Math Mammoth, Math-Whizz Spanish: Finish La Clase Divertida 1, start level 2 TOG Year 1: for history, Bible, narrations, vocab, and geography, literature. Science: Not sure yet, leaning toward RS4K Chem 1 with older sis. Other: piano, swimming, running with dad Most of this is new this spring/fall. I have a good feeling about our plan.
  4. No, it didn't say what the new prices would be.
  5. I don't want to cause a panic or anything, but when I received my sample pack yesterday there was a note saying that the prices would be going up as of March 1, 2011 due to increased production costs. (don't know if this includes Rainbow Resource) Orders processed by Feb. 28th will receive the current price. I will probably order levels 1-3 today, but I'm still thinking it over. LOL
  6. My AP&P is from 2002 and came with the 2005 TM. HTH.
  7. Oh, I heard something this morning but didn't realize what it was. Thanks! I live on the Treasure Coast. Paula
  8. I haven't used work boxes yet, but I think the work boxes could be used in conjunction with a schedule. You could have set times for piano practice for each student and for group time. Then you could use the work boxes to keep the other students doing individual work or activities while you are doing "work with mom" time with one student. When it is piano time for one student, he can stop what he is doing in a work box then return to it when he finishes practice. Hope you get some more answers. Paula
  9. I found the 6 qt "shoe" boxes at target today on sale for 88 cents each.
  10. No problems in Indian River County, either.
  11. Yep, gotcha. I'm just saying that with the ages the OP has, she could try MFW at first and if she ever decided she would rather do TOG she would still have plenty of time to get the full use of it. I'm hoping the upper levels of MFW work for us. My daughter enjoyed K and 1st.
  12. My oldest that I'm homeschooling is going in to 2nd grade and my younger is starting K in the fall. Since I have no interest in doing ancients yet, I am going to do MFW Adventures (and some of MFW K-2nd time). If MFW works for us...great! If not....I still have plenty of time to get 2 full cycles of TOG (or whatever else I may choose.)
  13. We received a notice last week saying to expect it by May 23rd, but it hasn't gotten here yet. Hoping this week.
  14. Winners: FLL SWR Singapore Math Nora Gaydos readers Dick and Jane!! (repetition is GOOD:p) OK: MFW First Grade Loser: MFW 1st grade Bible Reader (it was just torture for my child, but otherwise I'm sure it's great for some)
