  1. Here is the post from HOD board. I tried to post last night but the site went down. This thread has been hilarious! I was so bummed when it went I couldn't get to the next page! Lol. "Back to HOD! by Katherine A. on Wed Aug 03, 2011 7:16 pm I posted here a month ago? Asking about placement & such. I have 12 biological children (3.5 year old Identical Twins (girls), 6 year old Identical Triplets (boys), 7 yos, 9 yod, 11yos, 14yod, 15yos, 16yod, & 18yod) A couple thing's have changed since i sense posted; the biggest being we Added 6 more dc to our family (4 yod,6 yo boy/girl twins, Almost 9yod,11yos & 13yos) ! My neighbor (more like a friend) passed away from Cancer & her husband passed away too (he committed suicide ), the didn't/don't have anywhere to go, so they are living with us and we're in the process of adopting them. A couple other things.. My 18 yod is engaged & expecting. My 11 yos wanted to do school during the summer, so i got him ACE. And he flew threw them. (the 7th grade one's) This is we're everyone is academically now: 2 8th Grader's, 2 5th Graders, 6 2nd Graders, 3 Pre-Kers I've gone back and fourth of *what* to do with them. I've changed my mind 4 times! I eventually ended up back to HOD for the 2nd Grader's (BLHFHG), And for the 8th Grader's (Rev To Rev)! Now I'm back to HOD for Everyone! I'm going to be using; LHTH, BLHFHG, CTC, & Rev To Rev! And I'm excited! Thing's have been pretty crazy, and will continue to be so (planning a wedding ), 18 yod having the baby, etc, etc. It's essential to use something open & go! I'm thinking this year will be great"
  2. Do you think this is the same person? I copied and pasted. When I first saw this, I thought of the strange similarities... 3. My 8 yr old NEEDS to shower everyday! He gets very smelly.;) He has had to use deodorant since 6!
  4. Maybe there is not one for the Mac. Mine was $4.99 but for the iPad so maybe for the iPod/iPhone the app cost less. I went to the app store on my device to find it, not the computer. You could try out the lite version and see what you think. My kids have been waking up eager start and check off their chores. Another thing I love is I can schedule sweeping everyday but alternate who I assign it to. When they click their name and picture, they only see what they need to do. It has a reward system too but I haven't used it.
  5. Yes that's it. I believe you can get it on the iphone and the mac too?
  6. THANK YOU! :D It has be the ABSOULTE BEST $4.99 I have spent in a long time!
  7. LOL! I would prefer Cracker Barrel but I get out voted every time! However, when this little one comes, I don't know if we can even fit at Waffle House! Our other tradition is making a small poster that says "First Day of School" with the date and each child has one with their Ht. and Wt. written on it and we take pictures! I just looked at our ones from last year and it's amazing how much they have grown!
  8. We had a GREAT first day today! We started late b/c I had an OB apt. and then we had to do our traditional 1st day of school breakfast at Waffle House! Lol. We just finished a few min. ago.:001_smile:
  9. YAY! We are starting Bigger tomorrow and can't wait! Keep us posted.:001_smile:
  10. I'll be 24 wks tomorrow. I haven't done a thing. I just finished potty training boot camp this week with my youngest two. So, now the only thing I will do is continue to buy diapers when I go to the store to stock up. We pretty much have everything else except I need a highchair which I will buy on craigslist at some point. My friend, who had a baby girl in January, passed all of her baby girl stuff to me since they are done having kids.
  11. Aug. 1st with everything. We were going to continue through the summer but we've been VERY busy! August here is HOT HOT HOT so better to start school then and take a little time off in the fall. Oh yeah, and I'm having a baby in Nov. so I wanted to be a little "ahead" for when the baby comes.:001_smile:
  12. My ds and my dd NEEDED to wear it by age 7! If they forget to put it on, by the afternoon their body odor is dreadful!
  13. I just clicked to join. We will be using Bigger this year and I'm very excited!
  14. I just looked at it on google and it doesn't look right. I'm wondering if there is a better way to upload?
  15. I have made one for the first 8 wks. if you want to use it. I am a former MFW user who loved seeing the week at a glance and didn't know how to get use to the way HOD is laid out. I LOVE HOD even more now! :D I'm so sorry. I don't know how to delete the thread and a kind person pm me saying I may not be able to post this. So, I will email HOD and check first. I definitely don't want to do anything wrong. I was really just trying to help:-)
  16. My mom was a single mom and I slept with her until I was almost 14. For me, it was an unhealthy dependency. (I'm sure that is not the case for most people who do though.) I couldn't even sleep at my Grandma's without talking to my mom or sometimes crying for her to come get me. When I stopped, it was b/c I forced myself to and it was so hard for me to learn to sleep by myself. We only have a queen size bed and I can't sleep with the kids kicking me pushing me out of my bed.;) So, we do not co-sleep.
  17. We made this too! Actually, we already ate it! But, the picture of it is in my new avatar.:001_smile: I made angel food cake in a 13x9 pan.
  18. UPDATE: We had our developmental vision test today and my son has Esophoria. His vision is 20/20 but said positive prescription glasses will fix the issue. The Dr. said reading should be much easier for him when he gets the glasses! I'm so thankful he doesn't need vision therapy b/c the cost is SO HIGH!
  19. Congratulations! That's super exciting! Praying you get a great report at your first appointment!:001_smile:
  20. Wore mine 10 yrs ago and it's in a bag hanging in our garage. I just.can't.part.with.it! Even though I'm obviously NOT taking care of it! Lol.
  21. Congratulations! What a fun and creative idea!
