  1. My kids invented a sandwich when I told them to go make lunch one day - it is now their favorite - bread, sliced turkey, pepperoni & tobasco. HOT! :ack2:
  2. I use my crock pot and they come out fabulous! Raw meat, raw peppers and uncooked rice - couldn't be easier. I do not cover mine in sauce (altho you could) I pour water up the sides of the peppers until about 1/4 way up.
  3. First off - :grouphug: My sister's ds is also anaphylactic to milk - they eat at Red Robin, Sticky Fingers, Quaker Steak & Lube & BW3's (he has a ton of other allergies too). She always walks in the door and asks to talk to the manager. She also requests recently printed allergy ingredient lists (ingredients change all the time) - major food chains always have these and are usually happy to provide them. It is an extra step and I know many people do not understand but you are protecting your child's life - a little inconvenience is so trivial compared to that. :D
  4. these are great suggestions - I have a cabinet full of stainless pans with black burned grease areas...and I have oven cleaner...time to get to work :)
  5. Bummer - same for me here - I was hoping it was more open and go and self directed...hmmmm... Thanks for the input - it is helpful
  6. i have 6 days to make up my mind:) if i do it, it will be the 5th grade level. anyone have any negative feedback yet?
  7. my almost 9 year "forgot" how to write the number 9...really?!?
  8. I had to ask my dh about this one (he's a computer guy)...I had no clue what a VPN even was :tongue_smilie: http://download.cnet.com/hotspot-shield/?tag=mncol;3 this is the one he uses - it is free as well! :D He said it should do what you want it to do IHTH!!
  9. our kids each have a sansa fuse - we wanted a lot of space and video capability as well. It isn't the easiest for me to use (cause I am old) but by techno savvy kids have had no problem figuring it out :tongue_smilie: As for headphones - 2 of my boys prefer earbuds (they don't last very long so when they die I go to TJ Maxx and get skull candy ones to replace them). My other 2 prefer regular headphones - Toys r us carries cute ones and Lake Shore Learning has really great kid sized headphones. Amazon has some precious ones as well. I ordered a plastic hard case for our fuse's on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Transparent-Clear-Crystal-SanDisk-Sansa/dp/B001ECP666/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345431397&sr=8-1&keywords=sansa+fuse+case - it has helped the wear and tear tremendously. Lastly, to personalize them I ordered skins from http://www.skinit.com - made great stocking stuffers.
  10. here is a couponing blogging site that does WFs http://thekrazycouponlady.com/category/whole-foods/
  11. well - San Antonio is OUT! It is beautiful with a gorgeous temple and large lds population, great homeschooling communities, low cost of living but it is HOT!!!!! I just have to recommend my favorite state and city - we have moved around and traveled a lot and I think Tennessee is the most beautiful state in the nation. I really love Nashville and the surrounding suburbs and if you like the outdoors more then areas around Knoxville are stunning!!
  12. We have a family reunion every other year in Gatlinburg and I am the person that coordinates everything. Some of my favorites have been http://www.majesticmountainvacations.com/ & http://www.mvchalets.com/ Check them out :)
  13. I also suffer from bad anxiety so first off :grouphug: It took me years to find the right meds to help - finally what worked for me was celexa at 60mg - 40 mg in morning & 20 mg before bed. I started with 20mg and worked my up - anything less than 60 mg and I had "break through" anxiety attackes in the eveing (which is sounds like you are having). Talk to your doc - maybe he/she just needs to up the dosage on what you take now. ITHT :D
  14. love this idea! how about: pull weeds scoop litter (we have a cat...) wipe down door knobs wipe down stair banister railings & hand rail vacuum under couch & in cushions organize pantry items dust ceiling fans dust/vacuum air vents iron clothes detail clean bathroom sink handles with a toothbrush mmmwwwhhhaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaa
  15. So I need to go the store...How do you meal plan for this kind of diet? Do you do chicken one night, pork the next, etc? Does anyone have a rotating meal plan already put together? The idea of this kind of diet is so counter-intuitive to anything I've ever known that meal planning is overwhelming me...
  16. That is AWESOME! I only put olive juice in my vodka (dirty martini girl here) and my coffee I could easily use heavy cream and I have stevia drops that are chocolate flavored - only takes 4 drops. Now - the only drawback I am seeing is the cost...I have 4 sons and a dh - that spells grocery budget disaster!
  17. I had no problem selling the program after we were finished. Much of the consumable can be used again and the stuff you use up is so easy to find cheap. IHTH
  18. I sooo need to try this but...do I have to give up my coffee & my vodka (not together :001_smile:) I love my nightly vodka...would it have to go bye-bye
