LibraryLover
Has a bio 10 year old? I tried googling her, but I keep coming up with the Oprah interview. not the circumstances surrounding her having little kids at her age. She seems like a cool person. Did she use donor eggs? LibraryLover
But did she have 3? So no on the donor eggs? Edited May 8, 2009 by LibraryLover
kokotg
FWIU, it's generally assumed that they used donor eggs, but they haven't talked about it publicly (I don't know for sure; maybe they have talked about it). I think they decided to have more children after their older son died in a car crash.

Perry
Here's an old article from Slate. I don't know if there's anything more recent.

astrid
Isnt this the same woman who had cancer and that is why he said he dropped out? Is she in remission? No, she is not in remission. During the election, she discovered that her breast cancer had returned and her doctors diagnosed her cancer as "terminal." She is on chemotherapy, but according to her, it's to prolong her life to the extent possible. I find her a classy woman, living tragic circumstances. astrid
newbie
Thats horrible. I hope this experience is cathartic. What a horrible time to add more stress. Poor thing, what strength that must take.
cathmom
Is it really THAT unusual to have a baby after 45? One of my friends just told me she is expecting, right around her 45th birthday. My sister read Elizabeth Edwards' book and said that they decided to have another child after their son died, and they decided to have 2 so one wouldn't have the burden of being the replacement.
