BMW
I was watching Obama's daughters. They were so poised and had such good manners. I pictured my sons in the same position. They would have sat there, "Don't touch me. You touched me. Move over. I can't see. You're too close. Don't touch me. Mooom, he touched me." Well, some of you might not find that humorous... but it makes me laugh.
nukeswife
I hear ya! My kids would have been about the same way except my 9.5 y/o would have been complaining about why he wasn't allowed to bring his Nintendo DS with him and how "BORING" it was LOL
CheerMom
Right there with you guys! My 10 y/o ds would have wanted his Nintendo DS, my 6 y/o dd would have talked the whole time, and my 3 y/o ds would wander off!
Happy
LOL, yes, I wondered how much 'preparation' was offered to them. I'm looking forward to seeing children in the White House again.
LaxMom
Actually, I think I saw Michelle leaning over the speak with them a few times, well behaved as they are. Funny how parenting never stops, isn't it?

beansprouts
One shot showed Michelle in what seemed to be serious discussion with her girls. I wondered what was being said, and whether we would get to see them behave like normal active children ;)
Heather in Neverland
For sure the camera would have caught my 4yo picking his nose. :tongue_smilie:
elise1mds
I saw one of the girls getting Biden to take shots of the crowd with her digital camera. I thought that was cute. They were very well-behaved, indeed! I have to admit I was a wee bit jealous of that. My DS would have been bored and slumping and whining and DD would have been standing on the chair waving to everyone and talking the entire time. Now I'm curious what she bribed them with as well! sagira
 I was thinking that if I were there with ds and dd (ay ay ay!), ds (5) would be dancing to the music, gyrating and sticking out his bootie, and dd, 17 months, would be MIA , me running after her between the crowds. During the speeches ds would be quiet but squirming constantly in his seat. Sigh. Glad I watched it at home! :tongue_smilie:
Mamasteff
One funny tidbit shared on television was that Charlie Taft brought along a book (Treasure Island) because it was going to be long and boring. LOVED that!!! DD and I had a good laugh, I could just see her bringing along some thick book and ignoring all the speechifying.
kewb
For certain mine would have been shoving each other.
