Laura Corin Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Most things just wipe off our new worktops but not tea stains. So far we have just used a mild cleaning spray and a cloth. How robust can I be? Quote
athena1277 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I think you can use Barkeepers Friend on ceramic. If that doesn’t take it off, it’s not coming off. 1 Quote
Amoret Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Have you tried baking soda and water? It works well to get tea stains out of mugs. 2 1 Quote
Corraleno Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I would try denture cleaning tablets, that's what I use to get tea stains out of ceramic mugs and steel travel cups. 3 1 Quote

It works very well, but to me it seems to be just a little more abrasive than baking soda. The website says it's safe for ceramic. But maybe test in an inconspicuous place first, just to be safe? 1 1 Quote
BeachGal Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I recently used stain-removing toothpaste to clean a badly stained white teapot. Nothing else was working and the toothpaste worked very well. It only took about a teaspoon to clean the whole pot and no hard scrubbing. Stains came right off. 1 1 Quote
