Laura Corin
Most things just wipe off our new worktops but not tea stains. So far we have just used a mild cleaning spray and a cloth. How robust can I be?
athena1277
I think you can use Barkeepers Friend on ceramic. If that doesn’t take it off, it’s not coming off.
Amoret
Have you tried baking soda and water? It works well to get tea stains out of mugs. 2

Corraleno
I would try denture cleaning tablets, that's what I use to get tea stains out of ceramic mugs and steel travel cups. 3

It works very well, but to me it seems to be just a little more abrasive than baking soda. The website says it's safe for ceramic. But maybe test in an inconspicuous place first, just to be safe? 1
BeachGal
I recently used stain-removing toothpaste to clean a badly stained white teapot. Nothing else was working and the toothpaste worked very well. It only took about a teaspoon to clean the whole pot and no hard scrubbing. Stains came right off. 1
