LifeLovePassion
Is it a really big hassle? We have a vaulted side of the living room. I am thinking about a 9 foot Christmas tree. I would get a slim one so it fits the space. But, would I regret getting one that big.
Katy
Are you the type of person who loves for things to look perfect, even if you must drag out a stepladder when you decorate it? Or does that seem like it’s more hassle than it’s worth?
Catwoman
One of our trees is 14 feet tall, so I’d say 9’ is very manageable and won’t look too large. 🙂
gardenmom5
lol. When you said extra tall, I was thinking >15'. costco sells 12' trees. I used to have an 11' tree (I miss it on occasion. I do NOT miss parking two 8' ladders on either side and climbing up and down them!) we downsized to a 9', and I think the tree we bought last year was an 8' . . . if we do a live tree this year . . . and cut one of our nobels - we'll be back to an 11' or more tree. fairfarmhand
My dad and stepmom have a tree that tall. Let's just say that one year the tree was still up on July 4. It's a big deal to put up and a big deal to take down. Like a whole day process. So if you like that kind of thing, sure go for it... but it is a lot. ETA: I just reread, My dad's tree is 15 ft. I don't think a 9 footer would be too horrendous. Edited November 14, 2023 by fairfarmhand
