gardenmom5
I found the off switch for 2dgs's excavator. I didn't want to be so cruel as to take it away, but I really couldn't take it (the sounds) anymore... Bambam
Hey, years ago I hid the Furby in a top corner cabinet. I was so sad when someone found it when we were packing to move.
Terabith
My kids didn't know that toys could have batteries for a pretty long time.
alysee
I usually put tape over the batteries and wear noise cancelling earbuds all day. I like my kids, I swear. Just the constant noise drives me crazy.
Forget-Me-Not
My DH routinely put clear packing tape over the speaker of toys like that. It really cut the noise down and a lot of times the kids didn’t even notice it was there. I swear some of those toys were loud enough to be hazardous to their hearing. stephanier.1765
My son, as a teenager, had a one of those large talking buttons that said, "That's what she said." Annoying doesn't even begin to describe it so I hid it. He was good natured about it and would occasionally go on the on hunt for it but, thankfully, never found it. And even though he is now grown and out of the house, that thing is still hid. This thread reminds me I need to go dig it out and throw that annoying son of a gun away.
