Grace Hopper Posted April 9, 2022 Author Share Posted April 9, 2022 It’s in theaters nationwide now, I think. it is truly an outrageous film, definitely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I loved it. Never expected a film with a multiverse premise to make me both laugh and cry like I did. Beneath all the wackiness it speaks deeply on relationships. It does definitely earn the R rating, gotta be honest. But the parts that are crude speak to the most base part of being human, so kind of like the hard language in Good Will Hunting, it suits this film. With a film student in our family, rather than skipping all R rated movies, there are some we view together and enjoy discussing. My personal preference is to avoid graphic sexu@l depictions (so for example I’m not a fan of the wildly popular Outlander series), but solid stories that require language and brief nudity are tolerable.
