Elizabeth86
So you feel great when your kids are outside playing pretend around history events. THEN you feel concerned when you realize they are playing Salem Witch Trials and the 2 little sisters and the neighbor girl are being accused of witchcraft. 😳😂 Edited March 21, 2022 by Elizabeth86

Melissa Louise
Aw, cute! My favourite homeschool memories are of the kids playing things from literature or history! Finding the girls playing A Midsummer Night's Dream with fuzzy felt was a highlight!
Dianthus
A couple of years ago, my son, about 7 or 8, stood on a huge pile of snow yelling he was Zeus on Mt Olympus. I don't think it resonated with the other children. But other parents did a double take. Was pretty funny. 3
teachermom2834
Once at homeschool co-op I had a mom complain to me that my 5 yo daughter was bossing all the other kids around making them play Liberty’s Kids.  Ironic. 1
theelfqueen
At one point my 16 year old was explaining his new D&D Campaign to me and then explained that it was basically the French and Indian War and started pointing out all the parallels and things. Now I DID make him write a D&D encounter based on an event in the Crusades once... but still, 16 and still acting out his history lessons. And naming character things like Aethelbert. 6

It’s so precious. My girls played Blueberries for Sal all year last year. We don’t have blueberries, but they improvised.

Grace Hopper
I remember finding our own Lady of Shalott draped across the furniture fairly often. And the boys arguing over whose Lego mini figure got to be Faramir. So I guess those read aloud made an impression.
