chiguirre
There's an awesome article about a Hell Creek formation that seems to be from a flood caused by the Chicxulub asteroid. There are amazing things!!!! https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/04/08/the-day-the-dinosaurs-died?utm_campaign=aud-dev&utm_source=nl&utm_brand=tny&utm_mailing=TNY_Daily_032919&utm_medium=email&bxid=5bd66ec32ddf9c619438693e&user_id=21705001&esrc=&utm_term=TNY_Daily Edited March 30, 2019 by chiguirre 12

Pippen
Here's a link to a shorter article, with pics: https://news.berkeley.edu/2019/03/29/66-million-year-old-deathbed-linked-to-dinosaur-killing-meteor/ Thanks so much for posting, chiguirre. I'm starting this unit with my classes on Monday!
wintermom
That's very cool! Apparently the world of paleontology is growing really quickly. There are new dinosaurs being identified quite often, as well as new information about their physical features.

Terabith
That is incredibly cool! Not just huge....possibly the biggest discovery since Mary Anning!
Terabith
There was so much in the article about the KT event itself that I had never heard before. I had no idea the plume of debris reached halfway to the moon or that tens of thousands of tons of debris (with life!) reached as far away as Titan! So if there's life on Europa or Titan, it might have originated on Earth!
