Jumping In Puddles
I think it's kind of funny that some people are horrified by the use of "bimbo" as an adjective to describe someone but "demented" is ok to describe another. Sure! I also had no idea how many people here had that kind of time to watch the View. We don't have cable or rabbit ears so we use our TV for DVDs only. Reading the thread has made me so grateful that I don't have time to waste watching capid women complain about the world. We're too busy living in it! Jen Funny, that is what some people say about reading and responding on message boards! (I don't watch the view because its ick, but I am sure I do things that people would consider a waste of time)

sadiegirl
I think the thing that frustrates me about the View ladies and Oprah as well is that they sometimes tend to praise certain celebrity guests for their lifestyle choices, religious views or parenting choices and think it is so great what they are doing! But you take the average Joe doing that same thing---we are strange! I am thinking of Will and Jada Smith...just read an article that their kids were homeschooled until they started a school in their area. Would Joy say that their families are unsocial and demented? Don't think so! There are fruitcakes in every walk of life but then there are those of who are just having fun!!!!
OceanBreeze
The View is a circus act. Problem is, those ladies think they're having an intelligent, educated, and rational discourse. Poor dears. Jenelle
LilyK
Elizabeth is the only one I like on that show. I saw her exchanges with Rosie on Youtube, and decided that I she is the ONLY one on that show with with a spine. None of the other ladies on the show seemed willing to tackle Rosie. Of course any conservative who is willing to host that show needs to be a fighter to survive in the ultra liberal climate of Whoopi and Joy. I would never call her a bimbo. She is articulate, and can stand up in an argument against any one of the other hosts, who all gang up on her btw. About Joy's comment, that is just another example of her enlightenened liberal tolerance.

LaxMom
About Joy's comment, that is just another example of her enlightenened liberal tolerance. Uh, I'm a liberal. And I homeschool. And I think it's ok that other people choose their own educational venue for their children.
Kathy in MD
I think most people have an odd view of homeschooling because only the extreme examples are spotlighted by the media (the hippie un-schoolers or the very conservative/religious families of 17, like the Duggers). The funny thing is there are tons of homeschoolers in show-biz. But then they are doing it because of their kids careers, so it is seen as a necessity of the job. No, no, no ;) The child-actors aren't homeschooled, they're studio schooled. totally different ;) ;)
angela in ohio
and that little blonde bimbo, Elizabeth, is missing many brain cells. Then we're really in trouble, because Elizabeth was the only one who defended homeschoolers.
