MarkT
listed in dealnews.com as Up to 90% off textbook rental or purchase https://www.amazon.com/New-Used-Textbooks-Books/b/ref=amb_link_1?tag=dealnewscom&ie=UTF8&node=465600> Is this just the standard rental? I never understand Amazon that well.
GailV
When I follow the link I don't see anything about a special deal on the rentals. But I suppose that could be because the Amazon site recognizes me as a return customer who just shipped 2 rentals back to them, so they don't need to impress me with special deals, know what I mean?

Same here. It tells me I have 3 textbooks to return. It doesn't show me the deal... off to hunt down there textbooks from the kids that came home last night.
Arctic Bunny
The text says: “Textbooks: Rent. Buy. Sell. Enter your ISBN in the search bar and save up to 90% on rental, new, used, and digital textbooks†I think it’s just the regular spiel for why you should get your textbook from amazon instead of the regular bookstore.
MerryAtHope
I think it's just an ad. I don't see that it's any additional discount off of purchases and rentals than normal.
luuknam
I'm not seeing it either (and I've never rented a book from them), but the ad changes every few seconds. Realistically, I'm going to say that the key words are "up to".
Okra
Nothing in the link, but overall, we have had positive experiences with renting from Amazon.
DawnM
My experience renting so far has not been positive, so YMMV.
